Related Software:

• Passport® V8.02 and higher

Related Equipment:

• Passport® EDH/EDH2/EDH2c

Purpose:

This bulletin is to inform the field of important steps that should be followed when it has
been determined a reimaging/clean imaging of an EDH is required at an existing location.
These steps are to minimize the loss of network related financial sales data.

It is imperative that all network report sales data are printed and to confirm that there are
no stuck sales and/or batches currently in the system prior to reloading the EDH.

EDH Reimage/Clean Image Best Practices:

Best practices before beginning a reimage/clean load of the EDH should include the
following.

1. Performing a Store Close and confirming with the network that all data has been
reconciled and closed successfully.
• If sales or batches are stuck, STOP immediately and call TAC for further instruction
on the process to get sales and/or batches cleared from the system.

2. It is required that any network report data be printed off prior, to prevent financial
data loss in the event that sales are stuck on the EDH.
a. Printing of any Secure and Unsecure report (ex. SAF (Store and Forward) or
Uncollected Transactions reports).
b. Please reference the applicable network addendum for the specific payment
network being worked on to gather the list of applicable network reports for the
site.

3. If no sales and/or batches are stuck, make sure to copy down all network programming
(Primary/Auxiliary/Mobile Payment) info along with PIN pad and loyalty
programming, prior to reimaging/clean loading, this will need to be reprogrammed
after the reload is completed.
