Opening ceremony

Opening ceremony will be confined exclusively to protocol (flags display and representatives’ speech).

Ceremony will be conducted by two moderators. Male moderator will be standing at the track in order
to announce the countries while female moderator will be standing at the winners podium.

‘Fun part’ will be the moment of European Indoor Championships opening when big hovering balloon
explodes over the crowd and 60m lanes, revealing ‘Welcome to Belgrade’ banner.

16:00 Female moderator greets the crowd and announces grand opening
(reads facts about the Championships such as number of participating countries, number of athletes
etc…)
16:01 Male moderator announces participants’ parade
Upon reading the country’s name, its sign and flag are placed on a designated position
Countries are announced alphabetically
Serbia’s sign and flag enter last
16:12 Female moderator invites the spectators to greet all participating countries
16:13 European Athletics anthem and flag
16:14 Republic of Serbia anthem and raising of the National flag
16:15 Moderator announces representatives’ speech
- Mayor of Belgrade
- LOC President
- EA President
- Minister of Youth and Sports
Minister of Youth and Sports pronounces European Indoor Championships officially opened.

At that moment big hovering balloon explodes over the crowd and 60m lanes, revealing ‘Welcome to
Belgrade’ banner.
