WORK EXPERIENCE

June,2007 Till present ( 5100 TPD Air Separation unit, Essar ). Working as Chemical engineer ( Deputy Manager) in ASU, ESSAR. I had been Responsible for Project Management ( Engineering, Procurement ,Construction) and Process Engineering of Two Old ASU units brought from KOBE STEEL and AIR PRODUCTS PLANT,UK from Concept to Commissioning stage. I had carried out the commissioning of three plants. Currently I am Responsible for smooth and safe operation of the plants.  PROCESS Successful Commissioning of Two Units of Air separation unit KOBE STEEL,JAPAN and AIR PRODUCT,UK Plant.Each is Having capacity of 1700 TPD. Successfully Commissioned equipments such as Centrifugal Compressor, Expansion Turbine, Adsorption unit , Distillation Unit, Cryogenic Pumps. Carried out the surge test of 30 MW SIEMENS COMPRESSOR. Thorough Study and Review of PIDS and PFDS of ASU of KOBE STEEL and AIR PRODUCTS for better understanding of plant operations. Thorough understanding of anti surge control philosophy of Compressor and Adsorption Sequence Logic. Preparation of Line List, Instrument List and Equipment list for reference Purpose. Modification in the existing Interlocks of ASU, Kobe Steel and incorporating new interlocks and Trips to ensure Smooth and Safe operation of Plant. Preparation of start up and shut down procedures for smooth and safe operations during and after commissioning of plant and maintain the associated documented files for Future Reference. Carrying Out Line and valve sizing calculations for Procurement Purpose. HAZOP Studies of the plant to ensure minimum risk during plant operations. Identification of various troubleshooting related to operation of equipments such as Compressors, Distillation column, Cryogenic pumps, Expansion Turbine, Adsorption unit, and Heat Exchangers. Identification of various interlocks and trips associated with plant operations to prepare

           

   

process control strategies. Carried out Functionality Test of the control loops of AIR PRODUCT PLANT with help of Simulation carried out by Siemens executive. Carrying out heat and mass transfer calculation for finding regeneration time for heating cycle during desorption and to study the effect of electrical frequency on the discharge pressure of High pressure gaseous oxygen. Proficient in working on DCS Panel of YOKOGAWA and SIEMENS. Preparation of Daily Consumption Report for the Distribution of Cryogenic Gases to Customers.

 PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF 5100 TPD AIR SEPARATION UNIT.( 20072009)  y Involvement in procurement of valves, pipes and pipe fittings and Preparation of TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION ( TS) and PURCHASE REQUEST ( PR) as per Requirement. y Co ordination with INI, kobe steel and Air Products executives for various Detail Engineering issues. y Technical Review of vendors quotations and identify the scope of work to prepare Purchase Order. y Preparation of Monthly MIS Reports to track the status of Engineering activities carried out at Site. y Refurbishment of distillation columns internals packing and Heat Exchanger Testing. y Filling of molecular sieves and alumina in Adsorber of AIR PRODUCTS Plant. y Carrying out pre commissioning activities such as pressure testing ,Pipe Cleaning and Flushing as per standard procedure. y Adherence to safety norms while carrying out engineering activities at site. y Pressure drop calculation to examine the effect of modification in piping layout on operating conditions. y Implementing cost and time saving strategies while performing erection activities at site.
