VISION OF ORGANISATION
We will be an innovative, cost effective solution provider in the areas of
electric motors and pumps. We will upgrade our technology and develop a
culture of practicing world class initiatives to delight all customers, employees
and others with our products, services and solutions
MISSION OF ORGANISATION

• Cater to changing needs and expectations of customers.

• Develop mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers.
• Upgrade technologies and explore in high growth and value added business
opportunities.

• Develop required competencies of our people.

• Set measurable, time bound, result oriented objectives and targets, integrate them
with performance evolution system of employees and monitor them.

• Religiously adopt 5S, TPM, KANBAN, KAIZEN, ISO, SPC and similar other
world class practices at all spheres of activities.
CURRENT MARKET SCENARIO OF
ORGANISATION & ITS COMPETITORS

An induction motor is an AC electric motor in which torque is produced by the
reaction between a varying magnetic field generated in the stator and the current
induced in the coils of the rotor. It is used in most machinery as it is more
powerful and eco-friendly than conventional motors. Unique robustness makes it
a suitable choice for automotive and manufacturing applications, as it requires
less maintenance. Its ability to work under varying climatic conditions is another
major factor driving its demand.

The rising focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the demand for
products that consume less energy are the major factors for the growth of
electric cars. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the global
sales of electric vehicles have been rising strongly in 2022, with 2 million sold
in the first quarter, up 75% from the same period in 2021. The growth of the
EV industry is expected to drive the demand for induction motors, as these
motors are widely used by electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, owing to their
robust, reliable, and low maintenance features.

• The increasing demand for electrical energy to sustain global development

requires consistent heavy investments in power supply generation that have
driven induction motors' application in the electricity sector.
Furthermore, some of the most significant opportunities to save energy and reduce
operating costs in buildings and industrial facilities come from optimising electric
motor systems. According to the US Department of Energy, about half of all
electricity consumed in the United States flows through motors, 90% of which are
alternating-current (AC) induction motors. The study indicated that a 5%
improvement in the overall efficiency of the induction motor would save enough
energy comparable to energy produced by the new power plant of a few hundred
megawatts.
TYPE OF ORGANISATION

It is concerned with firm behaviour and strategy, the

implications of firm behaviour for economic efficiency, and
the role public policy plays in promoting efficiency.

The "industrial" in industrial organisation refers to any large-

scale business activity, such as tourism or agriculture—not just
manufacturing. Industrial organisation is also sometimes
referred to as "industrial economy."
DATA COLLECTION RELATED TO SPECIALISATION
STUDY

Single phase induction motor is very simple and robust in construction. The stator
carries a distributed winding in the slots cut around the inner periphery. The stator
conductors have low resistance and they are winding called Starting winding is also
mounted on the stator. This winding has high resistance and its embedded deep inside
the stator slots, so that they have considerable inductance. The rotor is invariably of the
squirrel cage type. In practice, in order to convert temporarily the single phase motor
into two-phase motor, auxiliary conductors are placed in the upper layers of stator slots.
The auxiliary winding has a centrifugal switch in series with it. The function of the
switch is to cut off the starting winding, when the rotor has accelerated to about 75%
of its rated speed. In capacitor-start motors, an electrolytic capacitor of suitable
capacitance value is also incorporated in the starting winding circuit. The main stator
winding and auxiliary (or starting) winding are joined in parallel, and there is an
arrangement by which the polarity of only the starting winding can be reversed. This
is necessary for changing the direction of rotation of the rotor.
GROUP OBSERVATION
• Management of manpower and machines.
• This Industrial visit is very helpful in our future practical Life & bring a positive
change in our thinking & practical behaviour regarding Education & specialising
our technical skills.
• Got practical knowledge about the advancement in technology of machines.
• Precise cutting and surface finishing of the jobs.
• Information on different parts & use of CNC machines with multiple cutting tools.

CONCLUSION

Industrial Visit' is a most practical approach towards learning

through interaction, working practices etc. Students not only get
exposure to the real world, but they get mentally prepared for the
corporate world. They learn life skills like communication. They
learn directly from the industry expert, from their life lessons. While
college and its syllabus prepare students with theoretical knowledge,
Industry visits can expose them to real-world problems and give
them an idea on how to resolve them.

When students are on an industry visit for their respective

specialisation course, they make contacts in the industry. These
contacts help them grow after they graduate and are making their
space in their field.

Industry visits not only give them a perspective, but it also gives
them certificates. These certificates come in handy when students are
applying for jobs. The certificates can give them a head start.
