UNIT Substance Use and Abuse

TIME FRAME 10 meetings

The third quarter is divided into two lessons. Lesson 1 is about the nature and effects of gateway drugs. The students will
learn examples of these kinds of drugs, and their effects to the body when they are abused. The second lesson talks about the
impact of abusing gateway drugs to the family and the community. An important discussion on how to protect oneself from
becoming another victim is also included.
