    Check Prop Erosion Clear Area Ahead


    Position And Secure Seats And
    Check Oil Quantity Baggage Mixture Rich Prime As
    Visually Check Fuel Quantity Clear Seat Belts And Headset Wires Needed ( None When Hot )
    Drain Fuel Sumps Check Trim Indicator Position Throttle Cracked Clear Area
    Check Flight Control Freedom Check Fuel Selector On Both Engage Starter
    Check Trim Tab Setting Master Switch On ( Check Gauges ) Check Oil Pressure
    Pump Floats - Check Cables Avionics Switch Off
    Idle 800 RPM
    Remove Mooring Lines Brief Passengers
    Water Rudders Down

    TAXI CHECK ( CIGARRS ):


    Doors And Shoulder Harness Secured
    Mixture Rich
    C - Controls Free And Correct
    I - Instruments Check And Set
    G - Gas Check On Both
    A - Attitude Trim Set
    R - Run - Up 1700 RPM 125 Max Drop 50 Differential; Check Carb Heat, Engine Instruments, Suction
    R - Radios Check And Set
    S - Switch Check On

    TAKE OFF ( CARS ):


    C - Carburetor Heat Off
    A - Area Clear
    R - Water Rudders Up
    S - Stick Or Yoke Back
    Increase Throttle To Full Power
    Push Nose Forward After Hump Phase
    Seek Best Planing Attitude On The Step
    Accelerate In Ground Effect To 62 KIAS
    Reduce Flaps - Accelerate to 76 KIAS
    Climb Out Via Safest Flight Path
    Reduce Power At Safe Altitude
    Flaps Zero, Set Cruise

    LANDING ( CGUMP ): AFTER LANDING: DOCKING:

    Landing Area Reconnaissance Water Rudders Down


    Brief Passengers Wings Flaps Up Throttle Closed
    C - Carburetor Heat On Carburetor Heat Cold Mixture Idle Cut Off
    Stow Seat Belts And Headset Ignition Switch Off
    G - Gas Check And On Both
    Crack Doors
    U - Water Rudders Up Master Switch Off
    Close FAA Flight Plan
    M - Mixture Rich Confirm All Switches Off
    Avionics Switch Off
    P - Prop Fixed Low RPM Fuel Selector L Or R
    Wing Flaps 10` Glassy Water, Check Magnetos Off And Back On Control Lock Installed
    20` Normal, 30` Confined Area One Magneto And Carburetor Heat Secure Mooring Lines
    Final Approach Speed 65 KIAS On
