IBPS PO Syllabus and Pattern : Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT) for the recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee
vacancies in Public Sector Banks which will be conducted online. IBPS Common written examination pattern details are given below…
Exam Pattern: Common Written Examination will be conducted online which consists of objective type questions. Total mark of the exam is 200 and duration is 2 hours. There will be Negative Marking of
0.25 marks for each wrong answer. If a question is left blank, there will be no negative marking for that question. All the tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and
Hindi. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method.

NOTE – Negative Marking of 1/4 marks
Cutoff Score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies
available, cutoffs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the
candidates shortlisted for interview.
Negative Marks: The penalty of 0.25 marks will be levied, if any wrong answer has been given. The candidates are advised that they must ensure about the correct answer while marking the answer. In
other case if candidate does not attempt the question and left black it, no wrong penalty will be applicable.
Minimum Cut Off Marks: The candidates must score a minimum marks or score in each of the paper to apply for the vacancies in participating banks. The minimum cut off marks will be 24 (Gen. Category)
and 21 (for reserved category).
Interview: After getting the position in the list of shortlist of the candidates for CWE PO III, the particular organisation will be called for the interview. The total marks for interview are 100. The marks should
not be less than 40% to qualify the interview. The weightage ration of CWE Exam and interview should be 80:20.

recommendations.
History of Indian Banking Industry – (Pre Independence, Post Independence, Nationalisation), Structure of Indian Banking, Types of Banks (Scheduled, Cooperatives), categorisation of Bank (Pvt,

IBPS PO/MT Eligibility Details
IBPS PO/MT Eligibility Details: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT) for the recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee
vacancies in Public Sector Banks which will be conducted online. Candidates, intending to apply for CWE PO/MTIV should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS:
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia,
Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person inwhose favour a certificate
of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age limit (As on 01072014): Candidates minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum 30 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02071984 and not later than 01071994 (both dates
inclusive).
Relaxation of Upper age limit:
1 Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
2 Other Backward Classes (NonCreamy Layer) 3 years
3 Persons With Disabilities 10 years
4 ExServicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/Short Service Commissioned Officers 5 years
(SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those
whose assignment is due to be completed within the stipulated time) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of
misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment
5 Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 5 years
6 Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years
Educational Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess valid Marksheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering
online.
Note: All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared
on or before 11082014.
IBPS PO/MT SELECTION PROCESS :
IBPS PO/MT Selection Procedure: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is conducting Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT) for the recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management
Trainee vacancies in Public Sector Banks which will be conducted online. IBPS PO/MT Selection Procedure details are mentioned below.
Selection Process: The IBPS PO/MT selection process will be carried out in two stages, the first one is Common Written Examination and second stage is Common Interviews conducted by IBPS.
Common Written Examination: Common Written Examination will be conducted online which consists of objective type questions. Total mark of the exam is 200 and duration is 2 hours. There will be
Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method. Each
candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
Common Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE PO/MTIV will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and
coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview
will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at
on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CWE PO/MTIV and Interview. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for
subsequent provisional allotment process.
Allotment: On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 201516 based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations and as
reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, based on meritcumpreference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation
policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/ Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc.
In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the
prevailing practice.
IBPS PROBATIONARY OFFICER SALARY @102.45% DA, IBPS PO PAY SCALE, IBPS PO CASH IN HAND SALARY
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts various examinations throughout the year every year. One of the main and popular examinations of IBPS is for Probationary Officer. Lakhs of
candidates appears in the written objective test of this exam. If you want to apply for Probationary Officer posts by public sector banks excluding SBI and want to know what will be the salary when you are
selected for the job. Then here are the details of IBPS PO Salary 2014 at 102.45% DA. Those candidates who got selected on Probationary Officer posts will get the salary as described below.
IBPS PO Salary Structure 2014 AT 102.45% – IBPS PO PAY SCALE
A newly recruited IBPS Probationary Officer in any bank under IBPS is placed in ScaleI salary of Rs
Rs. 14500 – (600 x 7) 18700 – (700 x 2) – 20100 (800 x 7) – 25700
In this Scale I, salary of newly recruited Probationary Officer, Basic Pay is Rs. 14500. They are given annual increments of Rs. 600 for 7 years till their basic pay reach 18700. The same is applicable to other
bracket increments (the figures in the brackets indicate annual increment and the stages for which the same is applicable.
IBPS PO Allowances
Revision in salaries is due from 01/11/2012. It may take about 2 years to finalise the same i.e. Dec 2014.
So Current Dearness allowance @102.45% will be nearly =INR 14855
House Rent Allowance (HRA) : HRA can be either 6.5% or 7.5% or 8.5% of the Basic Salary
HRA= 9321242 depending on the place of posting.
City Compensatory Allowance (CCA): It is an allowance for moving from one city to another and can be either 3% or 4% i.e. INR 375540.
So summing up all the above given allowances.
Gross salary of IBPS PO at Current DA (for newly selected) ranges from INR 3100035000.
Bank PO Salary at 107% DA will increase the salary by approx. 15002500.
Cash in Hand salary of newly recruited Probationary Officers will be INR 2900032000.
Other Perks and Benefits
Perks and Benefits vary from bank to bank but State Bank of India gives more perks than other banks.
The perks and benefits includes leased accommodation, travelling allowance, newspaper allowance, medical allowance etc.
