1. Today’s hot article
Research suggests the link between the place where students choose to sit.
Shy students often choose the back row because it is far away from the teacher and they don't want to
answer questions or be involved in discussions.
At the back, students probably won't speak much, but in big classrooms, it can be hard to see the
whiteboard and hear what the teacher is saying.
This could be the reason why students who sit here often get lower marks in tests and exams.
For students with poor sight or hearing, a seat at the back of the classroom is definitely not a good
choice.
On the sides of the classroom. you will generally find modest* and thoughtful people.
These people usually get good marks at school and are keen* on learning.
Caring, outgoing and cheerful people usually sit in the middle. They are normally serious about leaming
and feel disappointed* with low marks in tests and exams.
Students at the front usually want to discuss things with the teacher and are often very enthusiastic
about school.
They want to be in the best place to see and hear everything the teacher does and says.
The only problem with sitting at the front is that it can be difficult to see and hear what other students do
and say in class.
So, if you really want to hear what everyone says in class, choose a different place to sit.
2. Volunteers

Volunteers are people who came to help others in their problems. They are ready to help those who
need it. Volunteering is not a job, they are not paid for it. These people help others because they are
not indifferent. It is an opportunity to help people, communicate with them and to work constantly where
needed.
Volunteers are always active, responsible and proactive individuals. The best reward for volunteers is
not money, but the happy look of those they help. Thanks to volunteers it is possible to save lives of
people and children.
People should do good deeds, take part in various projects aimed at helping those who need it.
Volunteering is an interesting activity that brings pleasure, new acquaintances.

3. Technology vs Nature

1 Civilization and technology have destroyed nature for many years.

2 This has become a threat to the survival of humanity and the planet as a whole.

3 But there are many technologies that can help save the planet and people on the Earth.

4 This requires people to work together to address this issue and develop a clear plan of action.

5 Natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, astronautics combined with computer technology can do a
lot.

6 Astronautics is still a little-studied science, because the universe is large and can be explored further.

7 Also we can apply the acquired knowledge to save the planet Earth

8 Nowadays computers will help to store, make calculations and even new discoveries in the modern world.

9 This idea is exactly described in the book by the scientist and genius Stephen Hawking entitled "George
and the Secret Key to the Universe."

10 In it, a supercomputer called "Space" helps scientists to solve human problems.

1. Film Free Solo

I don't usually watch documentaries, but Free Solo has totally changed my opinion. The film stars
American rock climber Alex Honnold as he prepares to climb a 900-metre vertical rock face
without using a rope. Directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, the film was awarded
an Oscar for the best documentary in 2018. The action takes place in Yosemite National Park and in
every plot we see stunning mountains and fantastic views. At first you think this is a film only about
climbing, but there is nothing unsurprising about this film. The plot also focuses on Alex's life and
his relationship with his girlfriend, Sanni. Climbing without a rope is very dangerous, and it's
fascinating to hear Alex and Sanni talk about their life together. A The photography is fantastic and
the screenplay holds your attention from beginning to end. Alex is very interesting and at times he is
quite funny. The final thirty minutes is probably the most amazing thing I've ever watched on the
big screen. C In my view, Free Solo is sa suitable for anyone who has a dream. Alex is one of the
most inspiring people I've ever seen, so get up from the sofa and go watch it now!
