The line chart illustrates the expenditure of fish and some various types of meat in a

European country over the period of 25 years starting from 1979.


It is noticeable that the amount of chicken and beef consumed was the highest while fish
appeared to be the most unpopular.
Standing at 220 grams per person per week, beef was considered to be the highest number
in 1979; yet, it fell to around 100 in 2004. The consumption of Lamb was on the decline from
150 to about 70 over the time. Before declining in 2004, both beef and lamb experienced a
fluctuation during the period. Meanwhile, a slight fluctuation between 70 to nearly 50 grams
was seen in the figure of fish devoured over a period of 25 years.
On the contrary, the utilisation of chicken surged up to approaching 250 in 2004 after
continuously fluctuating between 1979 and 2004.
