Good morning Miss and all my friends, let me introduce myself, my name is Laura and today I

want to present my artwork. This artwork is called “The Truth”. In this artwork, there is a
woman standing with a pink dress, flowers in her hand and waving her hand at the audience.
But you also can see there are some arrows stuck in her back. This artwork describes the
journey we go through to achieve something. sometimes people don’t know the journey that
we face to achieve the success. They only see the front, without knowing that there are actually
pains and problems that we deal with.
In this artwork, the woman looks very happy because she has achieved what she dreams of,
and some arrows stuck in her back have the meaning of the struggles that must be faced to
achieve that dream. The scars from the arrows may not go away, but they can be the proof to
our journey. Having a scars mean that you are strong and can get through various obstacles. We
just need to go through it and grow. When things are hard, get up and don't give up. Even if it's
hard and tiring, don’t push yourself away, you just need time and you can do it.
I made this artwork on Pain tool Sai software with A3 paper size. I choose light color palette for
the woman to stand her out and describe happiness, and dark color palette for the background
and the arrows to describe the dark atmosphere and pain that she felt. I made this artwork
because I was inspired by my friends at high school who were struggling with their college
entrance exams. Seeing their struggles from the beginning to finally being accepted into their
dream college made me want to pour out my happy heart through this work of art.
