INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (ICB) FOR PROCUREMENT OF

145KV 40KA 200AMPS CIRCUIT BREAKERS UNDER GEPCO’S OWN
RESOURCES
Gujranwala Electric Power Company Ltd (GEPCO) “ The Purchaser “ invites sealed Tender for supply of
following items along-with all allied accessories as per WAPDA/PEPCO/NTDC specification (amended
up-to date), through “ Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure” on International Competitive Bidding
(ICB) Basis from eligible bidders (manufacturers / suppliers) complying qualification & experience
criteria as laid down in bidding document. The tender will be received and opened publically in presence
of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend on below mentioned date & time in the office of
Chief Engineer (Development), 565/A Model Town, GEPCO H/Q, Gujranwala. Tender will be
evaluated as per Revised Policy of NTDC regarding Type Testing (Amended to date).

1. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with

PPRA Single Stage, Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source
countries.

2. Eligible Bidders may obtain bidding documents and related information from Office of
undersigned at the address given below from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM (Monday to Saturday) from
the date of publication of tender.

3. The bidder / manufacturer must have at least five (5) years manufacturing or supplying
experience of similar equipment / material with the same or higher rating and capacity and three (3)
years of successful continuous operational experience.
4. Bidder/Tenderer will submit a certificate at the time of purchase of bidding document
that the firm is not black listed/debarred from WAPDA/DISCO’s/GENCO’s/NTDC/ PEPCO or any
International Organization at present.

5. The bidding document, in English language, may be purchased by interested bidders

from the date of publishing, on the submission of a written application on company`s letter head to the
above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs.5,000/- the method of payment will be
by cash. The documents may be collected in person or would be sent by courier services for an
additional amount of Rs.1,000/- for domestic delivery. For international bidders, the bidder may
purchase bidding document in person or may send his request through e-mail and depositing 40 US$
in GEPCO online Account as cost of bidding documents. The documents could be sent by express
airmail for an additional payment of 70 US$. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of
the documents. No tender document will be issued on the tender opening date.

6. The bid prepared in accordance with the instructions in the bidding documents, must reach
the Office of undersigned on or before tender opening/receiving Date & time as mentioned above.
7. The bid shall remain valid for acceptance for 150 days from the tender opening date. Bid
must accompany above mentioned Bid Guarantee/CDR not less than 2.5 Million (PKR) valid for 180
days issued by any Scheduled Bank of Pakistan on specified Proforma alongwith Sales Tax Registration
Certificate otherwise bid will be rejected

8. Single stage-two envelope procedure will be adopted for the tender process. Bid shall
comprise of a single package containing two separate envelops. Each envelope shall contain separately
sealed financial proposal and technical proposal . Envelops shall be marked as “FINANCIAL
PROPOSAL” and “TECHNICAL PROPOSAL” in bold and legible letter to avoid confusion.

9. The bid guarantee should be enclosed in the technical proposal envelope.

10. All the procurement will be done according to PPRA Rules 2004.

11. The advertisement is also available on GEPCO (www.gepco.com.pk) and PPRA

(www.ppra.org.pk) websites.

NOTE: Bids received after the prescribed time and date shall be rejected.
