Situation:
You currently behind schedule regarding your final term major project. Your supervisor is insistent
that no exceptions will be made for any student. Write a formal email, convincing your supervisor
that being allowed an extension in the deadline will make your work shine! Request formally and
humbly.

Respected Sir
Assalam-o-Alaikum. I, Sami-Ullah, am submitting a request on behalf of my group for our Object-
Oriented Programming final term project. The deadline for our final term project is announced as
November 15, 2022. I am deeply sorry to inform you that our project is unfortunately running
behind schedule and will need more time to be finalized.
We are working on Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which uses a multimodular architecture
and concepts underlying artificial intelligence and machine learning, as we had proposed. It also
uses multiple languages such as Python, Java, SDL and Django. The project's core framework is
finished, however there have been some unforeseen problems. The use of multiple languages is
resulting in unknown bugs. Furthermore, artificial intelligence, which demands training a module
across multiple samples, is also taking longer than we had anticipated.
We sincerely wanted to challenge ourselves, so we chose a complex task that would not only
sharpen our abilities and increase our comprehension of the course, but also make a good
impression on our resume. We aim to create a project that will stand out from the rest. Hence,
given its current stage, we would require additional time to complete the project.
We will be highly obliged if the project deadline is extended by one week till 21 st November 2022
to overcome the above stated issues. Thanking you in anticipation.
