LEARNING ACTIVITY TASK 6.

1C

Establishment of Learning Environments that are Responsive to Community Contexts

Direction: Read carefully and answer the following questions. Compile your answer in a
portfolio.

1. How does community affect the learning environment?

Children are given over to the community, which in turn molds their conduct, which
reflects their ability for learning, habits, and behavior. The community allows people the
possibility to share their findings and gain knowledge from one another, boosting their ability to
progress quickly but meaningfully.

2. How important is curriculum contextualization and localization of lessons and learning

materials?

As part of the decentralization of education, it is crucial. The curriculum's localization

can make learning more significant and pertinent. Making the local culture an essential
component of the curriculum will also be required. Contrarily, contextualized curricula aids in
language acquisition by presenting concepts to students in settings where they will actually need
to apply them. It ought to give students a forum to voice concerns and difficulties, and then
jointly devise solutions.

3. What strategies are you going to use in order create a culturally-responsive learning
environment?

I'll use many techniques to motivate pupils to tap into their cultural resources. The fact
that not all pupils come from the same background makes it crucial to empower those who do.
Develop relationships as well. Because some teachers may not make their pupils feel respected,
not all students desire to learn from them. To make sure that my pupils feel appreciated, valued,
and seen for who they are, I need to work on developing relationships with them.
4. How will you use the data you have gathered from the preliminary activity?

I will analyze the information from the preliminary activity, looking at cultural
divergence, student strengths and weaknesses, classroom behavior, and learning environment.
With these statistics, I would include these distinctions to establish and develop their shared
interests, respect one another's cultures, and create effective teaching environments.

LEARNING ACTIVITY TASK 6.2C

Engagement of Parents and the Wider Community in the Educative Process

Direction: Read carefully and answer the following questions. Compile your answer in a
portfolio.

1. What are the benefits of engaging parents and members of community in the implementation
of the school programs?

Engaged parents are more likely to boost parental empowerment, support for children's
learning at home, and overall family wellbeing. Students get advantages include enhanced
cognitive growth and academic success, enhanced social and emotional growth, and enhanced
health. They also include better grades and attendance, improved achievement levels, a sense of
security, less behavioral issues, and an uptick in students' favorable attitudes toward homework
and school.

2. Identify strategies that promote positive relationship with parents and members of the
community including mechanism to ensure their full support to school programs.

Show that you have a favorable outlook on schooling at home. Parental involvement in
schools doesn't just happen there. Additionally, it involves sharing your attitudes and greater
educational ideals with your children as well as your ambitions, dreams, and expectations for
them. The sharing of these beliefs encourages young people to persevere when presented with
difficult academic difficulties.
3. Have you experienced watching a PTA meeting? What important lessons you learned from
observing a PTA meeting?

I had indeed seen PTA meetings. I've learnt that meetings ought to be problem-focused
rather than opinion-focused. The construction of school projects, the implementation of projects,
and other situations when some of the members are dogmatic and insist on their own perceptions
and opinions result in conflicts and debates inside the meeting. We must learn to respect the
positions of the other members and offer them the opportunity to recommend their thoughts.

LEARNING ACTIVITY TASK 6.3D

Professional Ethics

Direction: Write an essay about the characteristics of an ideal teacher. Compile your answer in
a portfolio

A teacher is a key player in the educational process. A teacher must have acquired such a
high level of perfection to be entirely ideal for progress to be stifled since they no longer demand
improvement.

A good instructor should be approachable. This quality is related to the teacher's desire to
use delight from his personal experience to make a point or convey their feelings regarding a
specific situation. An ideal instructor has a broad range of preparation. This shows that the
teacher is quite knowledgeable about all of the subjects in addition to those on which she
primarily focuses. He will be able to elaborate and illustrate the topics in a more compelling way
because to his capacity to diversify. The excellent teacher also serves as a fantastic role model
for kids. One of the most significant contributions a teacher can make to society is serving as a
good role model for all students. A great instructor looks sharp and has impeccable personal
hygiene. He always maintains a nice appearance, and he dresses appropriately for the school
where he works. He supports pupils who are struggling. Additionally, he or she is orderly,
cooperative, friendly with employees, and submissive to the institution's head.
LEARNING ACTIVITY TASK 6.4C

School Policies and Procedures

Direction: Read carefully and answer the following questions. Compile your answer in a
portfolio.

1. What is the importance of school policies and procedures to teachers and students?

A school should have policies that address student welfare, safety, and best practices for
teaching and learning. The goal of a school policy is to assist instructors in handling a variety of
situations, such as those involving behavior, discrimination, and health and welfare concerns. It
will serve as a crucial framework for the school, ensuring uniformity in the application of values
and principles throughout the institution.

2. What is the most important aspect to consider when developing a school policy?

Use the proper language to avoid misinterpretation of intent as one crucial factor. To be
effective, policies must be understood. This attempt is aided by the use of precise and
unambiguous grammar. Make sure your terminology is clear and basic so that everyone can
understand it. In the body of the policy, use the words "must" or "will" instead of "should." The
latter suggests that the action is voluntary, casting doubt on the necessity of the policy. Use the
word "should" when something is recommended but not when it is necessary.

3. What is the importance of stakeholders’ consultation when formulating a policy?

The involvement of stakeholders is regarded as being crucial to corporate governance and

policymaking in general. The use of stakeholder consultations by bureaucratic and legislative
decision-makers facilitates the active participation of individuals and interest groups in the
invention, formulation, and evaluation of public policies and legislation. Policymakers can utilize
consultations to obtain knowledge and data on the viability of policy choices, hear stakeholders'
perspectives on the results of policies, and evaluate implementation. Therefore, it is essential to
involve stakeholders in the policy-making process.

4. In the event that a problem occurs in the absence of school policy, what should a teacher do to
address the problem?

We can have a civil discussion about this situation. Tell the other person how you are
feeling. Tell him or her that you don't like how things are right now. Consider what the other
person has to say about their feelings and the things they dislike. Tell us what you think you did
to cause the problem. Share the modifications you are willing to make with the other person.
When a problem arises in the lack of policy, a teacher may seek assistance from local elders or
the barangay chief to resolve issues.

5. What do you think are the things that the school needs to improve?

I think they should increase staff advocacy by instituting a regular parent-teacher

interaction procedure in order to guarantee that parents and teachers may share information. The
development of excellent instructors is another step that education systems must take to improve
learning environments. However, a high-quality teaching staff is not simply a "given" in high-
performing educational systems; rather, it is the outcome of deliberate policy decisions that have
been slowly and methodically implemented over time. In light of this, educational systems might
study many educational models to identify options that may be applicable to their particular
settings. Teachers serve as role models for their students, thus they should possess the qualities
necessary to serve as good examples.
