Mount sinabung Facts
When did Mount Sinabung erupt for the first time?

Since it first erupted on August 27, 2010, this mountain

emitted volcanic smoke and ash. On August 29, 2010 at
around 00.15 WIB (August 28 2010, 17.15 UTC), Mount
Sinabung released lava. On September 3, there were 2
eruptions.

Geologically, Mount Sinabung is one of

the mountains formed from the
interaction of the Indian plate and the
Australian plate with the Sunda plate.
This method of formation is similar to
that of other mountain ranges on the
island of Sumatra, including Mount
Toba.
How tall Mount sinabung's gases
to go
The eruption produced a column of
volcanic ash smoke with a height of
up to 5000 meters from the crater
rim. The eruption was followed by
hot clouds heading south-west and
east-southeast with a sliding range
of 3500 meters.
