The revised document & reply for the reference cited (5) and the additional document of
“Calculation for Fire Fighting System”- (Hydro Generator) furnished by M/s BHEL vide
ref (6) were reviewed and the remarks are as follows.

Fighting Equipment, the quantity for revised drawing ACCEPTABLE.
Bleeder Valve is mentioned as 2 Nos,
instead of 4 Nos as shown in the
drawing No. 02500020703
2. The Calculation and control philosophy Calculation In page 3 of 5, A (i) CO 2
with logics and tripping for the CO2 Fire submitted for flooding factor taken as
Fighting system for the Hydro Generator reference 1.33 Kg/m3 from sl no (i)
shall be furnished for further scrutiny. of table -3 in IS-6382 is
 not acceptable, as it is for
“Dry electrical wiring
insulation hazards in
general” (ie for cables,
cable galleries etc., in
general).
Sl No. (ii) In table 3 of
IS-6382 “small electrical
machines, wire enclosures
under 57m3 ” is only
applicable . This shall be
taken for calculation.

Hence, M/s. BHEL shall be addressed to submit the revised calculation and drawings as
per IS-6382.
