Aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production,

our team is passionate about reducing fashion industry waste and promoting sustainability
through the fashion value chain. We plan to use Design Thinking to develop an innovative
business plan that will enable us to create a sustainable, eco-friendly fashion line. We will create
a pitch to reach out to potential customers, investors, and partners in order to secure funding for
our business pilot. After assessing and refining our business model, we will scale our business
accordingly and track progress and measure our impact in order to ensure our sustainability
goals are being met.

To begin, we will employ Design Thinking to explore the problem and develop innovative
solutions to encourage circular fashion practices. With our ideas and solutions in hand, we will
then create a business plan and pitch our business concept to potential customers, investors,
and partners. Once we have secured funding for our venture, we will pilot our business and
assess and refine our business model. After successful refinement, we will work to scale our
business and continue tracking our progress and measuring our environmental impact.

We plan to do this by developing a social enterprise that provides an accessible platform for
consumers to rent and resell their clothing.

Goal: Sustainable Development Goal #12 Responsible Consumption & Production

Area of Impact: Sustainable Textiles

Business Plan: We are launching a fashion label focused on sustainable textiles. Our mission is to create
stylish, sustainable apparel that is accessible to the mainstream consumer. To achieve this, we are
sourcing organic, recycled and/or upcycled materials from suppliers with environmental and ethical
policies in place. We plan on incorporating sustainable production practices in our manufacturing
processes that reduce water waste and energy consumption. We will be focusing on creating quality
basics that can be worn multiple ways and mixed with other pieces in your wardrobe.

Reaching Out:

• Investors: We will reach out to venture capital firms, impact investors, and angel investors with an
interest in sustainability to present our business plan and discuss potential investment opportunities.

• Customers: We plan on utilizing a multitude of channels to promote and sell our products including
our own website, social media, and retail stores. We will also join forces with existing sustainable
fashion brands to reach a larger audience and work on promotional campaigns to further engage our
customers.

• Partners: We will be working with eco-friendly textile suppliers to source our materials and with
ethical and sustainable manufacturers to produce our products. We will also be looking for partners to
collaborate on marketing and promotional activities.

Area of Impact: Sustainable materials and production practices in the fashion industry

Business Plan:

1. Establish a direct-to-consumer sustainable clothing brand that uses sustainably sourced materials and
production practices.

2. Design and produce clothing that is fashionable, affordable, and made to last.

3. Invest in and partner with sustainable textile and dye manufacturers to ensure quality and ethical
standards.

4. Utilize existing digital channels and social media platforms to reach potential customers.

5. Utilize a subscription-based model to incentivize customers to reuse and recycle clothing.

6. Leverage existing networks and organizations in the fashion industry to reach potential investors and
partners.

7. Leverage digital marketing channels to build an engaged community of sustainable fashion advocates.

8. Establish educational and awareness initiatives to showcase the positive environmental, economic,
and social impact of sustainable fashion.

Goal: Sustainable Development Goal 8 - Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth,
full and productive employment, and decent work for all

Area of Impact: Labor Practices in the Fashion Industry’s Value Chain

Business Plan:

Our mission is to create a platform that drives transparency and ethical labor practices in the fashion
industry’s value chain. By offering an end-to-end solution, our platform will enable buyers, suppliers,
and workers to track and monitor labor practices along the supply chain. Through our platform, labels
and buyers will be able to access information such as working conditions, labor standards, and wages for
the workers who are making their products, empowering both workers and buyers to make informed
decisions about their supply chain. We will also offer a range of ethical monitoring services, from
implementing ethical labor policies to providing education, awareness, and advocacy.

Our platform will be free for buyers and workers to use, however, suppliers will pay a fee to access the
data and services that we provide. We will also offer a range of additional services, including product
certification and compliance monitoring, at an additional cost.

We plan to partner with established suppliers and labels to promote our platform and to launch a
marketing campaign to reach potential customers and investors. We will hold virtual events and
networking events to build strong relationships with potential customers and partners. We will also
reach out to ethically conscious investors to seek funding for our platform. Finally, we will collaborate
with other stakeholders in the fashion industry, such as labor unions, NGOs, and governmental
organizations to advocate for ethical labor practices.
