Beet soup

There are a lot of recipes, every hostess has her own. I have 4 different
recipes in my family)

I write my own (most simple and without meat) water


~ 1.5 - 2 liter Beets
- 1 or 2 pcs. (Small); Onions
- 3 pcs. (Average); Tomatos
- 2 or 3 pcs (Average); or (if you don't have tomatos) Tomato paste - 2 or 3
tbsp.
White cabbage (it depense on taste i like when it a lot of cabbage, but my bf
doesn't very like it, so it could be 200 or 400 g)
Potatoes - 1 -2 pcs(Average).

For roasting (I'm not sure that the word roast (зажарка) was translated
correctly): Finely chop the onion, grate the carrot on a large grater. Warm up
the frying pan, grease with vegetable oil. Fry the onion until golden brown,
then add the carrot to it. Stew it all for a few minutes, then add tomatoes, salt
(1 tea spoon) and sugar (1 tablespoon), mix well and simmer for a few
minutes(7 - 12). Put a pan of water on the fire. Salt. Grate the beetroot on a
large grater. Peel and cut the potatoes, finely chop the cabbage. When the
water boils add beets, after 5 - 7 minutes you can add cabbage and potatoes
(When the potatoes are almost ready, then you can add roast). Repeat all the
mixing, cover with a lid and boil for 15 minutes on a small fire and taste (You
may need to add salt or sugar or tomato paste). That's all)

Serve with sour cream.
