Handout: Program Expansion at Contemporary Chemical

Some new facts and feedback have been gathered about the telecommuting program.

 Two participants were forced to drop out of the program due to extenuating circumstances;
one had child care problems, and another could not get a reliable internet connection

 8 out of 10 pilot participants were successful in meeting their regular work objectives. 2 of them
exceeded their objectives for the pilot period.

 Only $20,000 of the $30,000 budget funds was spent.

 Managers overwhelmingly felt the pilot was worthwhile, and expressed willingness to find ways
to involve other employees in an expansion. In fact, several managers expressed interest in
participating in the program.

 HR is considering an incentive program for future participants to the telecommuting program.
