p. 19: A graph of “a versus b” means that a is graphed on the vertical axis and b on the horizontal axis.
Saying “graph a versus b” is shorthand for “graph a as a function of b”

MeQ: Why have x (m), v (m/s), a (m/s2); but no unit for m/s3? Perhaps the reason is because m/s3 isn’t
a very useful parameter/dimension. X and t are very material. V is more abstract; it is derived from x and
t. A is even more abstract. So a unit for m/s3 would be even more abstract and therefore be less directly
connected to reality, so less useful.
