Introduction

The Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic, which has infected about 3

million individuals in 148 countries and killed over 200,000 people worldwide, has wreaked

havoc all over the world. The crisis has already been a shock to the economy and labor

market. We are only beginning to comprehend COVID-19's economic implications, but many

other concerns have surfaced that must be addressed immediately, such as school closures

and their influence on learning, as well as the educational burden placed on children,

parents, and instructors. To combat the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, most

governments throughout the world have temporarily closed educational institutions. Schools

are areas of social interaction and activity. When schools close, many youths miss out on

important social interactions that are necessary for learning and progress.

COVID-19 has led to an increase in the use of distance learning and social media for

educational and communication purposes. Communication, particularly in the educational

sector, should be researched since communication between instructors and students has the

potential to promote learning and create a positive environment. The movement of

information from one person to another, or from one group to another, is known as

communication. Effective communication is the process of exchanging ideas, thoughts,

knowledge, and information in a way that best achieves the goal or intended. In other words,

it is the sender's expressing of opinions in the most understandable manner for the recipient.

Bonding, exchanging knowledge, and being heard and understood are all goals of

online communication. Fostering a feeling of community in online classes will enhance

students' learning and help them stay connected throughout the course. When teachers

communicate with students, whether in a face-to-face or online class, they do it with the goal

of providing knowledge or information so that students can gain understanding and build

relationships. Because the online environment lacks body language, engaging with students

involves more effort and planning than communicating with students in a traditional setting.

In a face-to-face session, instructors can interact with their students by employing body
language and facial expression. Instructors can't use body language to assist students

communicate in an online lesson. Knowing the communication flaws that exist in online

contexts can assist them decide how to communicate with their online students in a timely

and acceptable manner.
