The legal rights

The prosecutors, accused persons, defendants, victims, persons with relevant interests and
obligations in cases are all equal in producing evidences, documents or objects. The courts are
liable to create conditions for them to exercise such rights, aiming to clarify the truth of cases.
Lawyers are also called attorneys because they act as both advocates and advisers. As
advocates, they represent one of the parties in a criminal or civil trial by presenting evidence
and arguing in support of their client and as advisers, lawyers counsel their clients about their
legal rights and obligations and suggest courses of action in business and personal matters.
A police officer must register a First Information Report (FIR) upon receiving a complaint about
a request. If he refuses to record a FIR about the commission of the crime, the aggrieved person
has a right to complain about it to the judges.
Any person who commits criminal acts shall bear penal liability as provided by the Criminal
Procedure Code.
