Family History

Estella Baagin was the fourth child of Antonia Banite Baagin and Pelesporo Baagin,

while Eliseo Acosta Sr. was the second child in 15 children of Apolonia Filipe Acosta and

Francisco Acosta. They lived simple and plain during that time, like others my grandfather need

to stop his education because of poverty, and my grandmother go to school because her family

have a piece of land to support her education. Every afternoon when my grandmother go home

my grandfather wait her in a road where my grandma bypassing, only to tease her and make her

cry. Until time passed by when my grandma step high school, he still watch her. But it change,

one time my grandpa wait her just to give her a flower and court her. At the age of 14 they

become couple and at a young age of 15 they have two children. Time passed by, they become

12 siblings, Cynthia Acosta was the first, Enrile Acosta was the second, Elizer Acosta was third,

Judelyn Acosta was fourth, florelyn Acosta was the fifth, Jeryme Acosta was the sixth, Belenda

Acosta was seventh, Eliseo Acosta Jr., Avegail Acosta, Josefie Acosta, Esperanza Acosta and

Ester Acosta was their youngest sibling. The third child was my father He is Elizer Acosta. They

lived peacefully in a farmland, until they grow their parents cannot support them all so that my

father was forcely worked in Manila, at first he couldn’t find job because of his young age. He

search and search and finally he was being hired as a security guard in a subdivision.

Vilma Policarpio was the first child of Ana Policarpio and Nicolas Policarpio, while Jose

Maranon Jr. was the youngest of nine children of Maria Maranon and Jose Maranon Sr. they
both lived in one baranggay in municipality of Zaraga in Ilo-Ilo. Lolo Jose court my Lola during

fiesta of their Baranggay when they dancing. A month past when they become lover my lola was

revealed pregnant, and because of that they were arrange in a wedding. In a conservative way of

life, they also live peacefully and simple. They have 9 children: Juvy Maranon, Joven Maranon,

Jean Maranon, Jose Maranon Jr., Josephine Maranon, Janice Maranon, Joey Maranon and last is

Jessebel Maranon. Jean Maranon was the third child in 9 siblings and she is my mother. Just like

my father she was forcedly bring along to the city to find job because of poverty. She hired as a

baby sitter in a Manila.

My mother worked in a subdivision as a baby sitter where my father hired as a security

guard, and because of that they meet each other. Year 1999 when they become official as a lover,

they were date and until my mother become pregnant. June 27, 2000 when the first fruit of their

love was exist and that’s me, they were happy. But that day my mother replace the paper where

she contact her parents, and because of lack of financial, she cannot back to Ilo-ilo. After a year

of residing in Manila, they decided to back here in Mindoro to live and to start a new life with

family. But because of social problems they encountered when they back here, we are being cast

away in Palawan province on my father’s relatives. Then, we become four children. Year 2003

when my second sibling followed he is Elizer Acosta, 2005 when again we followed by our

third sibling he is Jomer Acosta. And year 2009 we again and again followed by the fourth, he is

Jerald Acosta. In that year, again we decided to back in Mindoro due to the pressure of my

father’s siblings. We are permanently lived here, we become 5 siblings currently, we followed by

a beautiful and only princess in our family. Year 2013 when we got a contact to my mother’s

relatives, she back then carry her 5 children, we shed bucket of tears during that time. So far, my

family was completed, my both parents are farmers and we live simple, plain and happy.
