Department: - QA Lab Standard Operating Procedure

Purpose: To ensure effective and timely registration of received seed samples

Scope: Registration of the samples to maintain their confidentiality and

impartibility as per Norms.

Process Owner: QA Lab

Process of sample receiving and testing initiation

 Receiving of Submitted seed samples at reception-desk. And ensuring the sample

received at reception area is as per the standard norms Such as size, lot no,
crop/variety, qty, senders address and uniformity of sample.

 Sample is examined at reception area and if the sample fails to qualify the permissible
standards then the sample is returned back to the sender for correction or re-
submission of proper sample.

 Post receiving of sample acknowledgement from LAB on seed sample is received and
recorded accordingly in the formats and registers for further process of sample.

 Onwards receiving the details, sample is allotted with unique identity no/LT-NO. After
the allocation of lab test number sample is forwarded for initiation of requested test at
the laboratory.

 Sample after the reception at lab is arranged in a particular manner to execute the
testing accordingly.
 Samples are tested as per the FIFO basis and to maintain unique flow of samples a
sample placement board is placed in sample receiving area inside the laboratory.

 After the initiation of test Moisture, Physical purity and germination tests are
conducted simultaneously and final results are prepared, reviewed and released in a
particular manner.

 Testing of all the samples is done while maintaining all the desired parameters like
confidentiality and biasness.

 The final authority for interpretation of results is hold by the Lab Head only and no
participant can influence any kind of results in any manner.

 Final Report for tested samples is provided in Fixed format of ESBL with the stamp of
Quality dept.
 Testing methods are also stated in the Final report for individual test conducted.
