REACTION PAPER – "Taghoy sa Dilim"

To begin with, the film is genuinely dismal, as characters are caught in the slithery talons of withering
injustice when it comes to cruelty and apathy.

The film portrays persons who are involved with (Illegal Drugs)

People are being slain extrajudicially in our society right now.

Others are killed as though "they fought back," and most of the families' loved ones are detained since
it was a 'raid' without a warrant.

It's heartbreaking to consider the consequences of employing these paraphernalias.

Just because many use these medications to escape the truth that life will not get any better.

The majority of those who utilize these medications are going through a mental breakdown.
As one interviewee put it, "you don't feel yourself while you're high."

To avoid the reality that they are burdened with debt, issues, and so on, they consume such high doses of
narcotics that they are oblivious to any of these ills.

I feel sorry for them. Those who have no other option than to use narcotics.

Narcotics have served as the "emotional support" for individuals who are addicted to them.

I feel sorry for them because, in a world with BILLIONS of people, they have no one to talk to.

There was no one to take their agony away.

There was no one to assist them in their rehabilitation.

Furthermore, the motives for using drugs invariably result in this numb sensation.

And it's heartbreaking to realize that in a society where millions are illiterate, unemployed, hopeless, and
hungry, drugs may be their only option to escape the reality that life has trapped them in this sealed
chamber of poverty.

The interviewees, on the other hand, made a compelling case for why we should never associate
ourselves with illegal narcotics, stressing the fact that they had lost everything, including their loved
ones.

And once more, I felt sorry for them. knowing the stress they are going through.

Another thing I discovered is that the departed family's grief is a result of continued anguish from the
day their loved ones were slain.

In the end, Those who used drugs eventually regretted their actions since it not only ruined their
reputation, but it also shattered their fundamental thinking.

In conclusion, the film does include this eye-opening feature that teaches us about the terrible impacts of
drugs and how we should never link ourselves with them.
