INTRODUCTION
I went for an international summer school program conducted by the University
of Nottingham in Malaysia starting from date 4th of July to the 19th of July. I had
a chance to get a network with various people from other countries in Asia, and I
learned about the new customs and values, and traditions of such people. I
experienced diverse learning in the session. I choose to take a course named
“Doing business in Asia Advance”.
FIRST DAY
We arrive at the university on the 4th of July where we have exposed to the campus
and met new people.
ECONOMIC POLICIES IN ASIA
In the first class, the topic thought to us is about economic policies and strategy
in Asia. We discussed the Evolution of economic policies and the micro and
macro-economic policies in each period
Basic macro-economic
About the inflation level to be maintained in each situation
Role of monetary policy
Contemporary economics in way of both classical and new
Trade liberalization
Abenomics
About GST and key issues in government
And suggestions for how to attract investors to business
Later we did a group activity providing information about the monetary and fiscal
policy of each country and how to overcome such for a better economy was
discussed.
After the class, a game activity was conducted, and it was easy to get connect
with each people.
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL SUCCESS
The next day’s class is all about leadership I learned about the signs of a good
leader and his traits.
The professor explains his thought about leadership in 5D form

MARKETING TO AN ASIAN CUSTOMER
The next day something about a new concept of marketing at the Asian level by
professor Anita, she explains the following concepts
Historical revolution/Evolution of the marketing concept
What is Sustainable production?
Marketing strategy and implementation
Environmental analysis and 4p’s of marketing
Importance of consumer behavior
Green products demanded by Chinese consumers
Something about the demand of the Chinese market for green products
Utility theory
What makes customers intend to buy?
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
“From creativity to innovation”-Dr. Kenny Wong Meng Seng
He thought about the way that how invention and innovation apply to business
effectively and about a page on a website called a million-dollar home page.
About characteristics, integrative approach of entrepreneur.
Also, an activity was conducted based on creative thinking he gave us a riddle,
and a team was formed in the session to know whether a person individually or
in a group he/she is effective.
FIELD TRIP 3DAYS
Next 3 days I went on a field trip and visited lots of places
1st day Genting highland visited the mall and indoor games.
2nd-day waterfalls, KL tour, King palace
3rd day Sunway lagoon.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
This topic was thought of by Dr. Dilip s. Mutum, explains about the digital
consumer positioning of consumers in that field, we discussed various case
studies such as Dell and Twitter, Air Asia and Facebook.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PRACTICES IN ASIA
This was explained by Dr. Mathew Abraham, he teaches about the Competency
required for an HR Manager

FIELD TRIP 4 DAYS
This trip made me relax in terms of mind and soul as a therapy. 1st day we went
to Batu caves, a museum Called Royal Selangor pewter, and last to the central
market and China town.
2nd day we went to Sun way lagoon where we played a game with a team named
plastic laser they also explain about their business in this field.
3rd day and 4th day we went to a place called Melaka wonderful place and find
relax to visit there also we went to a China temple there I saw worship ways and
traditions of the Chinese people
FINANCE
This concept session was thought by prof. ken, Lee Chin Chong
It was about How to finance in Asia different from other countries
About direct and indirect flow of money
He tells about some of the current affairs regarding the financial position
of each nation
About emerging markets in Asia
How banks dominate the financial sector
How to budget deficit and surplus are calculated and measures to be
overcome and utilize such funds
LAST DAY
It was a wrap-up session of all concepts that are learned in previous classes and
detailed information about the courses offered by that university.
Later farewell was conducted and appreciated the best outstanding students and
others who successfully completed the course and individual performance with
lots of memories the day ended happily.
CONCLUSION
This program helps me to explore new kinds of learning at different planning,
where I could see a new set of people with their different beliefs. This makes me
to increase flexibility to new field.
