Guest Room Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, cottages (including
fixtures and equipment) or private residences (Boat Houses) and the comfort as set by the hotel
procedures and standards.
In addition to ensuring that the guestrooms, private residences and
cottages at Canoe Place are immaculately cleaned per Canoe Place cleaning standards, the Guest
Room Attendants are also responsible for stocking linen rooms and storage areas with clean linens,
retrieving and delivering guest request items as needed to arriving guests, and replenishing of guest
supplies. Duties include:
• Keeps all guest rooms or private residences, vacuumed and dusted. Makes

specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive

Hosts/hostesses are responsible for helping customers, seating them, taking their orders, using a cash
register, and keeping the host station clean. You should also be prepared to help out where needed
and in general help keep the restaurant clean and running smoothly. Your employer may ask you to

Summary of Position
Working under the overall direction of the Lead Host and /or Maître D’, the host
is attentive to the overall first impression that a guest receives, greeting all guests with warmth and
hospitality. Hosts communicate guest specifications and requirements to the Manager to provide an
unparalleled dining experience and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the assigned guest
service areas, such as the coat check, bathrooms, and salon/foyer.
Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and perform to the company's Mission Statement and Core values
• Maintain a clean and
sanitary work environment - keep all areas clean and organized at all times
• Be part of a team - work
together and be attentive to each other’s needs before and during the course of the shift
• Complete
all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side-work assignments

Welcome all guests and ensure they are given warm, responsive, professional, and gracious service

Seat guests in accordance with their preferences and under the direction of the Manager on duty. •
Work to balance out the guest flow and maximize covers in the dining room
• Accommodate special
seating requests whenever possible. • Understand how to accommodate guests with disabilities
within the dining room and bar to ensure they have a pleasurable experience
• Be able to properly
manage time and resources and work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Preform walk-through
quality checks in the bar and lounge area frequently during service through personal inspection

Collaborate with the Chef and Managers in any menu changes and menu distribution
• Update the
floor plan regarding cancellation, no-shows, and table requests
• Assist guests in taking reservations
when needed
• Update guests’ notes in the reservation system at the end of every shift
• Remain
knowledgeable of all the restaurants, hotel, and building activities that take place in the local market
and surrounding areas to benefit the guests' experience. • Competently utilize reservation system for
appropriately facilitation reservations and guest placement for assigned properties
• Communicate
with managers to ensure the most pleasurable dining experience possible - alert management to any
guest dissatisfactions or areas of potential conflict
• Use appropriate language and stated verbiage
when speaking and or writing guests
• Maintain and establish comprehensive and confidential files
