An Electric Vehicle (EV) is a mode of transport which is powered by electricity unlike conventional vehicles that use Petrol
or Diesel powered engine. Electric vehicles use an electric motor powered by electricity from batteries or fuel cells.
Therefore, an EV is seen as possible replacement for current-generation automobile.

Major EV fire accidents have been recorded in the year
2021 and 2022.
Europe has witnessed a large number of EV fire accidents in
the world.
In North America, USA and Canada have accounted for the
highest number of accidents.
In India, the problem has emerged mostly with two-
wheelers.

Supply Equipment (EVSE). Charging Stations are of 2
types : Public and Residential.

SRMs work on the principle of reluctance which is defined as

the property of material to resist the flow of magnetic flux.
Magnetic flux — the invisible magnetic lines passing through a
surface — likes to travel down the path of least reluctance. It
has a rotor with alternating regions of high and low reluctance
and a stator featuring electromagnets. When electricity is
supplied through them, the rotor will rotate, thereby causing
Smart Grids SRMs the motor to run.
