Definition

Disease: is an abnormal condition which affect the body of organism OR Is a particular


abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism
and that is not immediately due to any external injury.

TYPES OF DISEASE

i. Communicable disease
ii. Non-communicable disease

I. COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
Are the disease which are spread from one person to another. Usually are caused by
micro-organism called pathogens, like Fungi, Bacteria, Viruses and worms, examples of
communicable disease are EBOLA, COVID -19, HIV/AIDS.

II. NON COMMUNICABLE DISEASE


Are non- infectious disease which cannot be spread from one person to another. They do not
spread to others and they restrain within a person who has contracted them. Example of non-
communicable disease are Cancer, Heart disease and diabetes.
CAUSATIVE AGENT OF ERUPTION OF DISEASE

 Viruses eg HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, Small pox


 Bacteria eg. Typhoid, Cholera, Malaria
 Fungi eg. Ring worms
 Parasites eg. Amoeba dysentery

The transmission of eruption of disease can be due to Biological experiment which are
conducted by scientist and improper disposing of waste products.

EFFECTS OF ERUPTION OF DISEASE


1. DEATH:
Example HIV/AIDS and Covid-19 are resulted into the decrease of number of people
in the societies which effects the contribution of people in the development of the
society as well as nation.
2. LOSS MANPOWER:
This is due to most of the affection which affect the people in a society and lead to
decline of productivity on the country and these mostly affects youth as the one who
are man power of the country.
3. POVERTY:
This is an act of being poor in a meaning that a person lacks basic wants and needs.
Normally for any productive work to be done in an effective way, one should be have
good health so as to acquire wealth in working. Disease causes poverty in a way of
decreasing working efficiency of a person either individual or country wise this
disease decreases efficiency of work hence leads to poverty.
4. DECREASE IN PER- CAPITAL INCOME:
Due to the eruption of disease a lot of people can be affected leading to the weakness
both physically and psychologically hence failure in performing their duties. The
failure in duties performance also results to the decline in per-capital income due to
low productivity by society members.
5. LEADS TO LOW LIFE EXPECTANCY :
The occurrence of the regularly diseases in the society results into the decrease in
number of days which people are expected to survive which means people becomes
weak and hence human beings live in a very short period of time.

MEAURES OF ERUPTION OF DISEASE


I. KEEP ENVIRONMENT CLEAN AND NEAT
Environment have to be kept clean and neat through filling up stagnant water
dams, clearing of grasses to avoid settlement of mosquitoes as well as burning
of waste materials. Therefore when environment are clean diseases can be
prevented.

II. INCREASE OF HEALTH CENTRES


This is based to both rural and urban areas but especially rural areas where
the needs are so high also improvement and renovation in this health centers
should be done so as to ensure proper services are provided to the people for
easy recovering to maintain the health of people for retaining man power for
development of the country and individual.

III. THE USE OF VACCINATION AND IMMUNISE


It is important to ensure that people get vaccination and should be immunized
in order to be prevented from different diseases and these done to the babies,
children as well as adults.

IV. ESTABLISHMENT OF POLICIES BY GOVERNMENT TO THE


CITIZENS
Government should use or provide the proper policies to the citizens so that
to ensure that they cannot be affected by diseases. Examples of such
policies are like insisting the use of Health insurance such as
NHIF, CHF AND "the use of Barakoa and Sanitisers".
Generally the societies should be aware on their health because it
make them to participate in different activities which have the positive
changes in the societies also practicing Physical exercises which make our
bodies fit from such diseases.
