The Ant and the Bird One sunny day, an ant

went down to the bank of a river to drink water.
Suddenly, it slipped and fell into the water. The
ant tried to swim back to the bank but it was
unable to reach it.
When it thought it was going to die, a bird
flew by. It saw the ant in the water. The bird
picked up a leaf and dropped the leaf into the
water. The ant quickly climbed onto the leaf and
was safe.
A few days later, the ant saw the bird again.
It stood on a tree. A hunter was aiming his rifle at
the bird. As the ant was grateful to the bird, it
wanted to save the bird’s life. It crawled towards
the hunter and bit his ankle. The hunter yelled
out in pain. The bird heard the hunter’s yell and
quickly flew away. At last the brave ant saved the
bird’s life.
