ASSIGNMENT 2. ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

Recently the whole world has been affected by a highly mutated virus been named as Covid-
19 as it was founded first in Wuhan, a large city in China in December 2019. The world has
gone through pandemic for a couple of times but why this virus became a nightmare with
millions total number of cases around the world that increasing day by day. The coronavirus
pandemic is more than a health crisis as it affects the economy, education as well as the social
activity. Thus, an urgent intervention has to be done by the government in order to restore the
economy.

Malaysia is spending about US$500 million to buy enough vaccine doses to inoculate 26.5
million people, or 82.8 percent of its population. A vaccine would teach our bodies to fight
the infection by stopping us from catching coronavirus, or at least making COVID-19 less
deadly.

The question is it safe for covid19 vaccinations? With lack of enough case study and short
term of testing, many people are arguing about the safety. There was evidence of cases of
death few days following the administration of covid19 vaccine. This making people
doubting more rather it help or making things worst.

To convince the people that the vaccine obtained is safe and effective, our Prime Minister,
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin volunteering himself as the first individual to receive covid19
vaccination. The vaccines will then be administered to front-liners before being given to
high-risk groups such as the elderly as well as those with non-communicable diseases and
chronic respiratory diseases.

In conclusion, people were given choice whether to take or refuse the vaccine according to
their own judgement. Whether to take the risk or avoiding unwanted consequences from
Covid19 infection.
