Greenland Picnic Table

The world’s largest island located between the Artic and Atlantic oceans east of the Canadian

Artic Archipelago lies Greenland an island that is mostly known for its chilly winter weathers.

Picnics are an outside activity where family and friends get together and have a wonderful time

but because of the snow in Greenland the picnic tables are usually wet and cold because of the

snow and takes up too much space if kept indoors and even if you covered it with a tarp, it still

won't prevent the table from being cold when you sit on it. That is one of the reasons why I

decided to recreate the picnic table but better. The table is built of redwood and coated with a

waterproof sealant able to withstand the liquid from the ice from coming in contact and

damaging the wood. Another way was to make the table able to be pulled down and into smaller

parts so that its easily portable and can be placed indoors without taking up a lot of space. This

was done by using a total of 12 nuts and bolts that can be screwed out. Imagine cooking and

packing your food warm in the basket and when you finally arrived at the picnic sight and you
are ready to eat your food is all cold because of the environment. This is no longer a problem

because of the built-in heated plate designed to be able to warm your food without damaging the

material of the table. The seats also have coil placed in an aluminum case and is used to keep you

warm while sitting on the Polyurethane wrapped seats. The table come with a 12V battery that is

used to power the coil and heated plate on the table. It can also be used in charging device with a

U.S.B outlet located at both sides of the table and also used to power a Bluetooth speaker located

under the table.

Style: The table has a rectangular shape and is made up of redwood. It has a standard style A-

frame while also having the Fairy Ring build.

Color: The table comes in a glassy dark hickory brown color that will absorb heat from the sun

and will help in keeping you warm.

Texture: The table top has a smooth texture with sharp edges while the seats has a soft

leathering feeling to it.

Shape And Size: The table has a rectangular shape and measures 72 inches in length, and 32

inches in width while the seats are 70 inches in length and 10 inches in width.

Form: Both seats and table top have an Equiangular quadrilateral shape with the seats having a

measurement of 10 inches wide 70 inches long and the table top is 32 inches wide and 72 inches

long. While the length of the table from the ground up measures 30 inches.
