All students admitted into Diploma Registered Nursing Programmes are required to pay a
statutory sum of K350 for General Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia for
Student Indexing.
Official school T-shirts bearing the institutions’ Logo are also available at K150 and the
Lab Coat at K200 only.
You are also requested to buy two reams of paper at registration (Rota trim)

RULES AND REGULATIONS ON REGISTRATION AND ADD AND DROP EXERCISE FOR BLOCK RELEASE
1) Registration
Orientation for new students will be at 10.00 Hours on 09th January, 2023.
Registration is a process, and normal registration for Quarter is on 08th and 14th January,2023
One is not registered until they have completed the whole process and have been given a dully signed
certificate of registration by the Registrar (Financial, Library, Course registration for instance are not the
registration in themselves. The whole registration process must be completed for one to be considered a
registered student at UNICOHS.
Students should only attend classes in courses that they are registered for in a particular Quarter.
No student should write an examination in a course that they are not registered for.
Projects, Teaching Practice, Field work etc must be registered for before they are undertaken. Projects,
Teaching Practice Field work etc undertaken before they are registered for will not be honored.
Lecturers will not be expected to assess Students who are not dully registered in Projects and Teaching
Practice, Field work etc.
2) Late registration
There is a time limit within which the normal registration process must be completed.
After normal registration, late registration starts from 16th and ends on 20th January, 2023.
There is a charge attached to late registration which is currently K60 per week. The charge is determined by
the University Administration from time to time and applies even for failure to return dully signed
registration forms.
Add and drop exercise is not complete until the add and drop forms have been returned and signed by the
Registrar.
The add and drop exercise must be done and completed between 14th and 20th January, 2023.THERE
WILL BE NO MORE REGISTRATION OR ADD AND DROP AFTER 20th January 2023.
A course that has not been dropped will continue appearing on a student’s transcript of results.
A grade of ‘F’ will be given for a course that has not been formally dropped.
Should a student attend an unregistered course they will be required to pay for attending that course and no
grade will be given. If the student is required to retake the course, he/she will go through the normal process
of registration and must pay for the course.
Late requests to drop courses that have already been done by a student will not be considered. Instead, the
Student will be considered as having audited the course without necessarily sitting for the examination and
the Students will still have to pay for the course/s in question.
