“Investing in Africa’s Future”

VIRTUAL MATRICULATION CEREMONY, FRIDAY 24 SEPTEMBER, 2021

1. Purpose

The Matriculation ceremony is the formal induction of all students into


Africa University Community. During Matriculation all students solemnly
undertake to abide by the Vision, Mission, and Promise of Africa University.

Following the Acting Vice Chancellor’s address to students, every


Matriculant signs the Matriculation form which is the official and
permanent roll of the students of the University.

2. The Matriculation Ceremony will take place on Friday 24 September, 2021


at 0900 hours. The ceremony will be live streamed on Facebook and
YouTube. To participate in the ceremony, Matriculants are requested to log
in by 0850 hours. The link will be provided in due the course.

3. Proceedings

 Academic Procession.
 National Anthem of Zimbabwe
 Pan-African Patriotic Song
 Constituting of the Congregation as a Matriculation Ceremony
 Opening Prayer and Devotion
 Introductions
 Acting Vice Chancellor’s Welcome Address
 Recitation of the Matriculation Oath of Allegiance
 Address by the SRC President
 Address by the Representative of the Class of 2025
 Awarding of Prizes by the Interim Deputy Vice Chancellor
 Announcements
 Closing Prayer
 Dissolution of the Congregation by the Acting Vice Chancellor
 College-Based Virtual Interactive Session with Matriculants
4. Signing of the Matriculation Form

All Matriculants are required to sign the Matriculation Form. Signing of


forms will take place soon after the Ceremony. The signed matriculation
declaration form must be send to the Academic Affairs Office on
records@africau.edu immediately after the Matriculation Ceremony.
