Settings Description
[Default Keyboard Settings] Select the type of the keyboard to display on the Touch Panel.
• [Standard Keyboard]: Displays the US ASCII-based keyboard or JIS-
based keyboard.
• [Local Keyboard]: Displays the keyboard that matches each lan-
guage.
The default value depends on the area the machine is used in.
[Keyboard type] Select the keyboard to use on the Web browser on the Touch Panel.
• [Type 1]: Displays the keyboard to display on the Touch Panel.
• [Type 2]: Displays the keyboard in pop-up mode.
[Type 2] is specified by default.
[User Box List] - [New Registration] - [User Box Expansion Function] to configure the setting.
When using an existing User Box, select [Box] - [User Box List] - [Edit] - [User Box Expansion Function is
changed.] to configure the setting.

[Download Time Priority Set- Select whether to enable processing to reduce the time required to down-

Tips
- You can also configure the setting to reduce the time required to download a document in a User Box
when registering or editing a User Box by selecting [Utility] - [One-Touch/User Box Registration] - [Cre-

- The following types of documents are not targeted for this setting.
Document saved in a User Box by the computer's print function
Document saved in a User Box from external memory
Document saved in a User Box by using the F code function
1.6 Deleting Documents in the SMB Folder of the Public User Box
When the Share SMB File function is used, files saved in the SMB folder are collectively deleted via the Public
User Box.
To delete, select [System Settings] - [User Box Setting] - [Delete Downloaded File] in the Web Connection
administrator mode, and click [OK].
Tips
- To delete documents in the SMB folder of the Public User Box, you can also select [Utility] - [Adminis-
trator Settings] - [System Settings] - [User Box Settings] - [Delete all in SMB folder] on the Control Pan-
el.
- To automatically delete documents in the SMB folder of the Public User Box, select [System Settings] -
[User Box Setting] - [Document in MFP Shared Folder Delete Time Setting] in the Web Connection ad-
ministrator mode.
- When the function to reduce the time required to download a document in a User Box is enabled, if
documents in the SMB folder of the Public User Box are deleted, the files of which the download time
is to be reduced are deleted simultaneously.
Settings Description
[Function key loop setting] Select whether to enable the function key loop scroll.
With this setting enabled, when the function key row is scrolled up to the
edge, if it is scrolled further in the same direction, it is displayed continu-
ously from the key at the edge of another side. Also, the alignment se-
quence number is displayed for each function key.
[Enable] is specified by default.
Tips
- To set the function key loop scroll, you can also select [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [System Set-
tings] - [Custom Display Settings] - [Function key loop setting] on the Control Panel.
- This function is only available for 7-inch Touch Panel models.

This machine can be connected to the following types of networks.
Tips
- To use this function, VLAN must be established in the network environment you are using. For details,
check with the network administrator. Also, optional devices must be mounted depending on models.
For details on whether the required optional devices are mounted on the model you are using, contact
your service representative.

2.2.1 Unavailable settings
When this machine is connected to network 2 using the multi-network connection function, the following set-
tings are not available (this example describes how to configure the setting from the Control Panel).

2.3.1 Enabling the connection to multiple networks
You can connect this machine to multiple networks by setting VLAN to the wired network interface of this
machine.
To configure the VLAN setting, select [Network] - [VLAN Settings] in the Web Connection administrator
mode.
Tips
- To set VLAN, you can also select [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [Network Settings] - [VLAN Set-
tings] on the Control Panel.
1 Access Web Connection from the computer connected to network 1, and log in to the machine in ad-
ministrator mode.
Tips
- You cannot access Web Connection from the computer connected to network 2.
- To specify the target network on the Control Panel, select network 1 or network 2 in [Utility] - [Admin-
istrator Settings].
Settings Description
[Priority Login Network Set.] Select the initial network on the network selection screen.
Selecting [Not Selected] displays the screen when no network is select-
ed.
[Not Selected] is specified by default.
[Change Network Name] Enter the display name for each of network 1 and network 2.
Tips
- To set the network selection screen, you can also select [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [System Set-
tings] - [Custom Display Settings] - [Network Select. Screen Settings] on the Control Panel.

[Operation Settings] To enable the two-factor authentication, select [IC Card Authentication +
PIN Code Authentication].
[Number of input digits for Specify the number of PIN code digits between 2 and 8.

- To set the two-factor authentication using the IC card authentication, you can also select [Utility] - [Ad-
ministrator Settings] - [User Authentication/Account Track] - [Authentication Device Settings] - [General
Settings] - [Card Authentication] - [Operation Settings] on the Control Panel.
2.4.3 Setting the two-factor authentication using the LDAP-IC card authentication
Follow the steps below to set the two-factor authentication using the LDAP-IC card authentication.
0 This function requires the setting to perform the two-factor authentication using the IC card. For details,
refer to page 2-8.
1 Click [User Auth/Account Track] - [LDAP-IC Card Authentication Setting] - [Server Registration] - [Edit]
in the Web Connection administrator mode.
Settings Description
[PIN Search Attribute] Specify the attribute to store the PIN code with the LDAP directory. (Up
to 63 characters)
The attribute must start with an alphabet character.
3 To use the secondary server of the LDAP server, click [Edit] in [2nd Server], then configure the same
settings as for step 2.
Tips
- To set the two-factor authentication using the LDAP-IC card authentication, you can also select [Utility] -
[Administrator Settings] - [User Authentication/Account Track] - [General Settings] - [LDAP-IC Card Au-
thentication Setting] - [1st Server Registration] on the Control Panel.

[Operation Settings] To enable the two-factor authentication, select [One-to-Many Authentica-
tion + PIN Code Authentication].
[Number of input digits for Specify the number of PIN code digits between 2 and 8.
Tips
- To set the two-factor authentication using the biometric authentication, you can also select [Utility] -
[Administrator Settings] - [User Authentication/Account Track] - [Authentication Device Settings] -
[General Settings] - [Bio Authentication] - [Operation Settings] on the Control Panel.
Settings Description
[PIN Code]/[Retype PIN Code] Enter the PIN code required to perform the two-factor authentication.
Tips
- For the number of PIN code digits, follow the value specified in [Number of input digits for PIN Code].
For details, refer to page 2-8 or page 2-9.
- To set the PIN code, you can also select [Utility] - [Administrator Settings] - [User Authentication/Ac-
count Track] - [User Authentication Settings] - [User Registration] - [PIN Code] on the Control Panel.
2 Enter the user name and password in the login screen, then tap [Login].
% When the public users' (unregistered users') access is permitted, you can tap [Public User Access]
to log in.
Connecting this Machine to Multiple Networks
% If you tap the network name button on the login screen, the display returns to the network selection
screen.
Tips
- For the number of digits of a new PIN code, follow the number of digits of the unchanged PIN code.
For some models, the description of "Operations of Touch Panel and Explanation of Major Screens" - "Main
Menu" - "Changing the theme of the main menu (for the administrator)" has been corrected as shown below.
