A COMIC BOOK ABOUT
MARVEL
Marvel , American media
and entertainment company that
was widely regarded as one of the
“big two” publishers in the comic
industry. Its parent company
company, Marvel
Entertainment,, is a wholly owned
subsidiary of the Disney Company.
Its headquarters are in New York .
They started in 1939 .

Hey , do you
know what marvel
is .....?
Marvel Enterprises is best known for the
Marvel comic book characters that it has
developed for more than half a century.
Over the years, characters become
identifiable comic heroes in the world.
They have been featured in comic books,
TV shows, feature films, and cartoons.
They have been reproduced on posters, T
T-
shirts, lunch boxes, and as action figures.

The primary vehicle for these characters is

Marvel's line of comic books, which are sold
throughout the United States and the world. The
primary markets for Marvel comics are people
between the ages of 13 and 35, some of whom
simply buy the comics to read, others who also
purchase the comics as collectible goods.

Marvel Enterprises is divided into three
business units. Marvel Licensing, MARVEL
Publishing and Toy Biz. The Toy Biz division
designs, develops, manufacturers, markets
and distributes toys. Its primary products are
the action figures based on Marvel comic
book characters and the characters in movies
such as Lord of the Rings.

Toy Biz includes the Spectra Star division, which

produces and sells kites. Marvel Licensing licenses
Marvel's various comic characters for use in a variety of
products, including TV shows, feature films, cartoons,
theme parks, toys, games, clothing, Web sites, and other
computer media. A noteworthy licensing coup was the X-
Men characters produced by Twentieth Century Fox in
2000.
0. The final unit, Marvel Publishing, develops and
produces comic books.
The entertainment industry (informally known as show
business or show biz) is part of the tertiary sector of the
economy and includes many sub-industries
industries devoted to
entertainment. It applies to every aspect of
entertainment including cinema, television, radio,
theatre, and music. As there are so many differing forms
of entertainment, the competition within this industry
is steep. Companies and sub-industries
industries are constantly in
competition with each other for viewership,
subscriptions, and sales.

The media and entertainment industry is an enormous

consumer powerhouse, with revenues amounting to
about $2 trillion worldwide. The top ten media and
entertainment companies are The Walt Disney
Company, Time Warner Inc., McGraw
McGraw-Hill Companies,
DIRECTV Inc., Viacom Inc., Comcast Corporation,
Paramount Pictures Corporation, Hearst Corporation,
News Corporation, and CBS Broadcasting Inc.
The COVID-19
19 pandemic has affected small
sma businesses in
every industry, including comic books—
—where small
publishers and retailers have adapted by relying on digital
sales and holding online
ine conventions instead of in-person
in
events. We wanted to take a deeper look at the changes
change the
industry has faced, so they host a virtual panel
