ARTICLE 12 - WORK CONCRETE ROOF

1.0. GENERAL

1.1. General Provisions

Before finishing the roof work done, then:

a. The Contractor shall conduct a study of the slope of the roof to fit the image plan.

b. Before work begins, the Contractor shall examine the relevant parts such as roof floor drain, the
foundation for the gondola lines, chiller, cooling tower, and all related equipment to ensure, the slope of
the plan, and coordinate the work plan screed.

c. Checking the roof line to create a slope plan and the streams in the area of the roof.

d. Waterproofing workmanship shall be in accordance with the instructions and requirements described
in section waterproofing.

1.2. References

a. This section covers the terms / conditions (payment, delivery, storage, installation) for labor,
materials, and equipment.
b. Covers job preparation and leveling screed layer, waterproofing and wiremesh work before finishing
the roof is done, prepare sieves and rainwater pipes, making the right lane rope and planned water.

1.3. Reference

a. All work must refer to standards: SII-0013-81, SII-007-75, and references to the work of
waterproofing.

b. Quality Assurance:

Qualifications manufacturing: product used here should be produced by companies that are well known
and have experience of successful and accepted by the Court and the client.

c. Qualifying workers:

 At least there should be one person who fully understood against this section during the
implementation, understanding of the needs required, materials, and methods needed for
implementation.

 trained workforce available to be enough and have the required skills.

 In the acceptance or rejection of workers, MK, and the client does not allow workers without skill or
lack of it.

1.4. Submittals / Delivery


a. The contractor shall submit to the Court, Planner, and the client the following:

1 Examples of materials that will be used specifically for waterproofing and wiremesh complete with
manufacturer's name label to the approval of the Court, Planner, and the client.

2. Shop drawing shows plans screed slope of the roof, lay-out strap water, the details and pieces that
show the thickness of the screed in difficult areas, parapet, the connections to the approval of the Court,
and Planner.

3 Creating a work plan schedule that shows the stages of the work that has been coordinated with the
relevant parts of the roof.

b. The contractor must provide a mock-up pieces of the roof floor that shows the correct arrangement
of layers including the area and connections difficult.

1.5. Storage and Care

All materials to be used for job completion / roof screed must be stored in a safe, dry, and protected
from damage.

1.6. warranty

a. Must be given a written warranty from the manufacturer for waterproofing and wiremesh.
b. Completion of finishing must be warranted for waterproofing systems and quality of work that is free
from screed leakage and damage during 10 years of the completion of the work.

2.0. MATERIALS

a. Waterproofing: type additive to the parking area and the type of membrane to the other.

b. Digesters: 1 PC: 3 Psr

c. Upholstery: wiremesh

d. Thickness: according to the standard factory

3.0. APPLICATION

3.1. examination

a. Inspect the surface of the concrete roof of the conditions that may interfere with and influence the
work. Do not follow up work until the condition is actually a concrete roof in a satisfactory condition.
Commencement of this work is dependent acceptance condition of the roof.

b. Make sure the concrete roof surface must be free of holes, cracks, other possibilities that may
interfere with work.
c. Make sure the other jobs that penetration into waterproofing and screed work has been installed or
coordinated.

d. Make sure that the concrete roof has been maintained and dried in a certain period of time receive
this work.

3.2. preparation

a. Protect surfaces / parts that will not be closed screed in these workers.

b. Clean the surface of the concrete roof as needed / waterproofing membrane installation instructions.

c. Cover cracks, joints, using the ratio of the width and waterproofing installation.

d. Move items / objects that do not need or no connection with this work.

3.3. installation

a. The system must be in accordance degan waterproofing installation instructions and requirements
described in section waterproofing.

b. In the installation of water pipes installation that penetrates the concrete slab, the concrete must be
cast back to the non-shrink concrete, coated before waterproofing.
c. At meetings corner filled first with the incline (45 degrees) of plaster before the waterproofing layer.

d. After the waterproofing layer is completed in pairs, and then covered with stucco (screed) 1 Pc: 3 Psr,
at least 6 cm thick and made with a minimum slope of 3% to distribute rainwater with the direction
according to the picture plan.

3.4. Field Quality Control

Flood Test - Horizontal Surfaces

a. Before the entire surface covered / protected against another job, do testing with water to find the
leak, the water flow correctly.

b. Fix the broken parts, and repeat testing until completely safe and does not leak fit the observations.

3.5. Protection and Cleaning

a. Protect the area around the surface from damage and fading.

Clean the surface of objects and traces of unnecessary work.


b. Protect the surface from heavy objects and not recommended for occupied objects such as chillers
and so on related to ME installation on the roof.
