NM’s mission has always been to provide an overall educational experience, in both academic

awareness and creating life-long learners in a student-centered learning environment. The
pandemic did not deter the learners and the faculties in equipping our students with 21st-
century skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Persistent
efforts were made by faculty to upgrade the curriculum and pursue their own interests in
research and co-curricular development.

unstinted support of the management that provided us with the best of virtual learning
resources in the name of Microsoft Teams. Fortunately, our students were all equipped with a

pay package ever. In total 266 students received pre-placement training during the year through the
placement cell.

LIBRARY REPORT
The college library is regarded as a favourite place for self-study by the students as well as faculties.
However, this year due to the pandemic there was strict limitation on entry in the college premises,
the library had given emphasis on digital library, online databases and reaching faculties and students
through online mode.
Library Modernization:
A new barcode printer was added in the library replacing the old one. Division wise Google groups for
all courses were used for regularly sending various academic instructions and notices and information
about library resources. The Google Groups were also used to provide library services online such as
sending interactive library newsletter, instructions for using online databases, etc.
The individual ID and password were provided to all staff and students for free and seamless remote
access to online databases. The online databases with e-books and e-journals received 1,08,915 hits
during May 2020 to April 2021. The library has institutional membership NList consortia of INFLIBNET

India, case study, research, marketing, etc. Remote access to these databases is provided through the
college website on the library webpage, from where the staff and students can access them easily using
their individual IDs and passwords.
The Information Repository containing subject bibliographies, library newsletters archives and
question papers of all classes was regularly updated on the library webpage on the college website. The
Other Online Resources portal in the digital library on the college website also provides links to various
online resources useful for staff and students for their assignments, competitions and competitive
exams.
The library was constantly in contact with faculties, staff and students during the whole year through
Google Groups, Institutionalised Outlook Email, MS-Team and WhatsApp. The library has spared no
efforts to get the soft copies of books, case studies, newspapers and journal articles required by
faculties and students, as per their demands from time to time.
Library Newsletter:
The library newsletter was regularly published every month and circulated via emails through Google
Groups to all students and through Outlook emails to all faculties and staff members. It is also
published online on the college website and the archives are made available in the Information
Repository. The newsletter includes cover pages of new books arrived in the library, details of the
services provided to students, details about different databases, students flair the articles and poems
written by students, feedbacks, etc. This year the newsletter also published Lib-Guides every month.
The Lib-Guides are the articles giving details about various important online information resources
along with the clickable links on different topics, e.g. Climate Change and Global Warming,
Economics, Import/Export Studies, Entrepreneurship, Business Law, Online Resources for Writers
and Researchers, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Language learning, Trends in 2020 and 2021.

Amidst the ongoing pandemic, Umang with a resilient spirit and a workforce of 100 students was
charged and prepared to soar to new heights like never before. Umang believed in ‘Conquering
Obstacles and Creating Opportunities’ and with utmost faith and passion set out to conduct the
entire cultural festival along with all its events virtually. Thus, aptly naming the theme this year: ‘A
Digital Paradigm’.
In the history of Umang, this was the first time the entire experience would be completely digital.
Umang was held from 1st - 4th November and brought in memories to last a lifetime and filled our
hearts with excitement. From the events to the workshops, from speaker sessions to ProNites, the
fest had a trunkload of learning and experience in store for everyone. There were 35 cultural events
organized, where more than 90 colleges participated which was only made possible by the team
effort of all the departments.
Nonetheless, the team of Umang did not let the online aspect of the festival hinder the exuberance
and experience that the festival had to offer.

This was later followed by her teaching the attendees the process of writing a research paper,
right from scratch. Thereafter, the session was concluded with some final insights into
research paper writing.
She proceeded to make this all fun for the students by conducting a small exercise to make
them understand data collection better. After an insightful discussion, the floor was open for
questions from the participants, after discussing and giving a very in-depth answer to every
question, the session was called to end.
Each participant was being mentored by a teacher for some time now, to help them brush up
on their skills and present the perfect paper. This ensured that there were negligible mistakes
in the data and the writing.
Then, one by one, the participants presented their papers in front of everyone and received
appreciation.
Learnings:
The team and the participants listened to and learned loads of information about a realm of
topics that were chosen like finance, technology, humanity, and education.
We learnt the importance of knowledge. These days, people go so much after practical
skills and experience that they are forgetting the importance of the theory behind it.
The participants climbed one step up in the ladder of their career by successfully writing,
presenting, and getting their research paper published.

On January 25 2021, at 4 PM, FOL conducted a workshop regarding the making of a professional
CV.
This event was conducted by our very own, Ms. Debeshi Chakraborty. She started the event by
making the attendees take polls about the various aspects of interviews. She had a unique way of
explaining how to tackle situations regarding the resume and the interview.
It was divided into three parts, first being tips for making your resume stand out, second, how to
answer questions in an interview and lastly, how to tackle the fear of interviews.
This was very helpful to the students as each and every student is aspiring to be something in life
and this can only be done with an impressive CV.

ILLUSION'21:
On the 6th of April, the festival was declared open by our honourable Principal, Dr. Parag
Ajgaonkar and Vice-Principal Dr Nirmala Chavan.
The event began with a session on ‘To Be and How to Be - Living Sanely Now and After COVID-
19’ by the renowned Dr. Coomi S. Vevaina who has a Ph.D. in Literature as well as Education. She
talked about mental health in teens and delivered a very insightful session on the well-being and
education of the younger generation.
The session was followed by ‘Wingardium Leviosa’. Participants’ knowledge was tested on the
beloved series ‘Harry Potter’ through fun games and numerous questions.
Next on April 7th, the second day of Illusion started with the most humorous event ‘Livin’ the
Meme’. The participants were asked to make memes using their humour in the best possible
manner, in a given time frame.
This was followed by a perceptive session called ‘Life of a Writer’ by Mr. Puneet Krishna. The
creator and writer of well-known shows like Mirzapur, Inside Edge and Bangistan, gave the
participants a new perspective on how a writer’s life roles.
Then, ‘Who Sold It?’ commenced, where the pre-registered participants had prepared
advertisements from the categories of products and dynamics provided to them by Illusion
members beforehand. These advertisements introducing the products were then played and
later the participant was given five minutes to explain the product and pitch the idea.
On the last day, April 8th, of Illusion, the first event was ‘Mind in the Middle: Managing the
Homo Sapiens’ where we had the honourable Dr. Harish Shetty, a leading psychiatrist, who
delivered a speech on EQ and its significance in today’s time.
This event was followed by the workshop hosted by AIESEC named ‘Help and Gain’. AIESEC is
the world’s largest student leadership organization. This workshop precisely explained the
importance of volunteering and making an impact in not only somebody else’s but also your own
life.
For the last event, Illusion ended with a huge banger, with an open mic, ‘Kuch Baatein Ankahee
Si’. It was a moulded safe space for anyone and everyone to express their thoughts through any
kind of art, poems, write-ups, short stories, shayaris, etc.
It created a vibe of creativity, content and most of all liberation and Illusion- ‘Let’s Unpause’
couldn’t have ended on a better note than this.
To increase our social media presence, we kickstarted a series of write-ups called 'Two
Universes' where two universally loved characters from different series/novels/movies etc are
paired to make an alternate story.
Every Wednesday, an onerous word was posted on our social media handle along with its
meaning to introduce our audience to a litany of new words.

Every Saturday, short reviews based on underrated, lesser known authors are put out to engage
students in a variety of striking content they haven't come across yet.
We also encourage our members to explore their creative side by publishing their engrossing
write-ups.
Promotion for all our events was done on our social media handles days prior to the main event,
including Illusion'21.
Outcome:
We learnt how to pitch our thoughts and give voice to our creativity.
We learnt the power of self-expression in this lonely, distant and ignorant world.
Throughout the year, we learnt the importance of reading books, and did our best to conduct
events revolving around that.

Everything being virtual this year, the main motive of the social media handles was to be as
inclusive and informative as possible for the students to stay up to date with the events and
activities happening around college, outside the classroom. The page was kickstarted through
invitation posts of Milaap, 2020 followed by event posts of other committees.
The templates for the posts were designed to segregate events into three categories:
1. Pre-Event Template
2. Post-Event Template
3. Achievement/Announcement Template
This segregation helped in better dissemination of information to the students along with
maintaining strong aesthetics of the page to boost engagement.
All the information about the events of various college committees was posted accurately and
timely to ensure the above with an equal display of achievements done by the college students in
numerous spheres.
An initiative of “Plan Your Week” was taken up to communicate all the events of an entire week
in advance for better planning for the students and increase in participants for the committees.
All the college committees were supported throughout the year via shoutouts, stories and posts
to help them reach out to the college students.
The official NM Blog domain was also created to initiate the set-up of the blog for future articles.
Development of BBC e-Brochure for external communication with organizations for
collaborations was also done.

DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES
MSCNM was brought into existence last year with great excitement and an aim of developing
interest in students for math and stats by presenting it in a fun and easy to understand way by
virtue of games, quizzes, movies suggestions, jokes and much more.
Last year was amazing and this past one year has been bigger and better. The whole committee
working online throughout the year hasn’t been easy. But even in such difficult times, because
of the wonderful team we possessed along with the guidance of teacher in charge Mr. Sunil
Kadam, MSCNM has grown only upwards in all segments.
The two Co-Secretaries were selected in August by the top core of last year and Sunil Kadam
Sir. Kaushal Parmar and Vidhi Shah (our co-secs) have been at the helm of everything
happening in the committee throughout the year. They then selected our Deputy Secretaries
for the department of Events, Marketing, Content Writing, PR, Digital Arts and Admin and
Finance.
The committee in total had 2 secretaries, 6 dep secretaries and 19 members thus creating a
family of 27 people with the same goal. The constant support received from our Principal- Dr.
Parag Ajagaonkar and our teacher incharge- Sunil Kadam Sir was immense and we will be
forever grateful.
ASSOCIATION STRUCTURE/HIERARCHY-
Events
The events throughout the year were all extraordinary and unique in themselves. They were
very well executed by the Events heads- Priya Khajanchi and Mahek Savla complimented by
their team of 5 members and the co-secs.
1. Algeostat- This was our first event of the year and was very fun + technical. It took place on
19th Nov 2020. Algeostat basically means a combination of Algebra, Geometry and Statistics. It
included a plethora of segments like memes, art, crossword, rapid fire round and pounce. We
had 50+ participants and received amazing feedback from each one of them.
The winners were given cash prizes worth Rs1000.
2. Twist-A-Tambola
This was a super fun event which did not need great mathematical knowledge. It was the old
school Tambola with a mathematical twist. Took place on 27th Dec, 2020 when everyone was in
festive mode. This event was attended by people aged 10yrs to 65yrs and was thus very
successful with 80+ participants.
4. Filmy Bima
This is the Flagship Event of MSCNM where participants had to identify which movie will be a
hit and which would be a flop and based on that calculate an insurance premium. The company
which provides lowest insurance gets the contract and at the end, if the movie is a hit then it is
a profit for the insurance company and if it’s a flop then it’s a loss. The magnitude of profit and
loss is dependent on the premium quoted.
It took place on 27th March, 2021 and had 18 participants who gave an amazing response.
5. Mini-Events
Other than our regular events, we had events taking place on our Instagram which included
quizzes. 3 questions were asked every week. 7 such mini events took place and we got a total of
21 winners
Social Media
The biggest progress from last year has been made by our content writing team. In total there
have been 20 Blog posts. The link to our wordpress account is- http://mscnm.home.blog
The team was very well managed by Vanshika Paharia, who was the head of the department.
Her blog “Don’t Rain on my Pitch” was one of the most liked blogs which explained the
calculation of DLS method in cricket. Other major blogs included “Rare events happen all the
time” by Ali Hyder Mulji which gave insights on the possibility of a rare event, “A Mathematical
Ride” by Simran Kankera which explained to us how the working of roller coaster is based on
math, “Crimatics” by Shreya Doshi which explains the use of math in solving crime and “Golf
and Six Sigma Statistics” by Anuj Medtiya which explained the six sigma process with the help of
golf.
There was a segment called Tuesday Tips on Instagram in which we helped students by
providing tips on different mathematical concepts for eg- Shoelace method for multiplication of
2- & 3-digit numbers which was contributed by Khushboo Mehta.
Another segment was called as Cracking Sundays where we shared a joke on maths thus making
for light-hearted weekends. Eg- Why do atheists have trouble with exponents? Ans- They don’t
believe in higher powers.
The next segment is Cinemath which used to go on our instagram stories. This used to give
various movie/tv show suggestions which included usage of Math. Eg- A Beautiful Mind (2001)
based on the life of John Nash.
The final initiative was It’s a Numberful World which showed us how much influence maths has
on our everyday life. Some examples include- Maths and Games, Music, Logos.

With the Covid pandemic disrupting the entire world, the entire world was forced to shift from
the physical to the digital world. Adapting to this new normal, AOA moved forward with
renewed vigour to promote its core objective of changing the perception of students towards
Accounts, One step at a time through multiple digital events on the MS Teams platform and
various social media initiatives on Instagram and LinkedIn throughout the academic year of
2020-21.
AOA kicked off the year with its first event on 21st October 2020 titled “Balance It” which
revolved around the concept of Accounting for Partnership Firms. Each participant was taken
on a virtual adventure, traversing through a series of 8 Virtual meetings, wherein their
accounting concepts and presence of mind was tested to the core. With over 50 participants,
the event was indeed a success and received plenty of positive feedbacks.
Building on the success of the flagship event of last year - “The Embezzler”, AOA came up with
a more exciting and refined digital version of the same event - “Embezzler 2.0” on 10th
February 2021. Involving 3 exciting rounds, the participants were given a case study (of an LLP)
in which money had been embezzled. The first 3 participants to identify the culprit, find the
amount of embezzlement and find out the dates on which the amount was embezzled were
adjudged winners. The vigorous efforts of the participants made the event a success.
AOA wrapped up the year on a high with its final event on 27th February 2021 i.e., A Speaker
Session on the topic - “Mergers and Acquisitions”. The session was conducted by Mr. Girish
Vanvari, Founder of Transaction Square LLP. Through this event, the attendees got an
overview of the current M&A scenario along with a brief idea about the various career
prospects in the field of M&A. Huge participation in addition to an insightful presentation
followed by an enthralling Q&A Session made the event a humongous success.
Although the year flashed by in a jiffy on a purely digital platform, yet the happy moments and
knowledge imbibed shall be a forever gained treasure! Here are some of the highlights of the
year:
Those students who required extra practice were given a 3rd round of interviews for both one-on-
one (individual) and panel.

The Conscious Citizens’ Club of N.M. College organized a speaker session on account of
World Suicide Prevention Day highlighting the importance of mental health amidst a
pandemic. Ms.Neha Patel, a psychologist and psychotherapist and director at Sharnam-
therapy and healing, along with Mr. Raj Mehta, her colleague, were invited to provide an
insight about the various issues that teenagers face in the pandemic due to the lack of social
interaction, the anxiety of the future and the coping with the new “normal” consisting of a lot
more screen time than usual. The speakers addressed these issues and provided professional
advice.
They addressed issues like bullying, dysfunctional families, anxiety and so on. The students
were intrigued and were soon asking questions, to which the speakers eagerly answered. The
session was interactive and insightful and enlightened the students on the importance of
mental health and its impact on everyday life. The event was a success.

The Wildlife and Nature Club (jr.) mainly focuses on protection, conservation and growth of flora and fauna.
This academic year, the aims of the club have certainly been achieved.
The threat of Covid-19 hangs over our heads like the sword of Damocles. Considering the
situation around us, for the first time in history anything like this has happened. But this didn’t
stop our club from excelling and rocked it with its first online event. The Wildlife and Nature
Club’s (Jr.) event Clicks For Conservation - A Wildlife Photography Competition was held on
30th September, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm , on Microsoft Teams .
The motto of this event was to spread awareness that wildlife and nature is something that is
not to be encapsulated by cages but to be captured by camera, whose beauty can be
mesmerized throughout. We had a great inflow of participants for the event. We were also
graced by the presence of our Vice Principal and Teachers, who actively participated in our
event. The participants showed their enthusiasm by actively participating and expressing their
perspective towards nature and the photographs clicked by them.
The Wildlife and Nature Club’s (Jr). event, "Pixels from the Wild"- A Wildlife Photography
Workshop, with our guest of honour Mr. Mayuresh Hendre was conducted on 22nd January
from 5:00 p.m to 6:30 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. The concept behind this event was to help
aspiring photographers to get some guidance from the best, Mr Mayuresh Hendre, who is an
award-winning Naturalist and Wildlife Photographer and has been published by Sanctuary
Asia, Nature in Focus, and Lonely Planet India on their digital and print platforms along with
winning 2nd prize in a national level photography contest in 2019. He helped the participants
open up the vast doors of knowledge to wildlife photography with his eloquent speaking.
Poster of the event A glimpse of the event, Pixels from the Wild
After the success of our first event we were ready to shine with our second event and it
didn’t set us back but lead to increase in participation. Mr. Mayuresh Hendre started the
event by showing us two of his mesmerizing documentaries. The documentaries left us
awestruck and we couldn't help but admire the beautiful nature at its best. Then he went on
to demonstrate the basics of wildlife photography with a PowerPoint presentation he had
graciously prepared. Later we had a fun interactive question and answer session in which
many of our teachers interacted with him in the question and answer round. The event went
on really smoothly and we were left with an emphatic feeling. The success of the event left a
smile on our faces. In the end, the audience was left with one thought about how beauty lies
in the eyes of the beholder and how one can show the true beauty of nature in its natural
form. Each and every participant enjoyed this blend of fun yet educational workshop and had
an overwhelming experience.

Saying that the coronavirus pandemic has been overwhelming is an understatement. It has
taken an undeniable toll on everyone, most of all, the students. With the thought of bringing a
smile to everyone’s faces and a spark of fun in their life, the French Association kicked off a
flurry of online events in the college for the academic year 2020-2021 with its first event on
Bastille Day, ‘La chasse française’. Literally, meaning ‘The French Hunt’, the event in essence
was a scavenger hunt wherein participants were required to search for things one finds around
the house. The hunt came down to a tie which was broken by a task where the competitors had
to send a quirky selfie to the event coordinator.
In between the two events, the committee also carried out the recruitment drive for the
incoming students. They received a staggering response, with almost 150 students applying.
The applicants went through a rigorous and intensive screening process. Boiling down 150
students to ten final candidates was no small feat, but the committee members burned the
midnight oil and did it nonetheless.
The first and only event that the outgoing team was able to organize with the new recruits was
a quiz. ‘La gastronomie française’ was a brain-racking quiz on the knowledge of the
inexhaustible French cuisine. Famed for its haute cuisine, the information to be tested was
extensive, from finding the incorrect ingredients to guessing colloquial names of the dishes. So,
the team divided the quiz into several rounds. In the first round, competitors were required to
answer as many questions as possible in under thirty seconds, followed by a rapid-fire round,
where points were allotted to whoever answered first correctly. The quiz culminated with a
final round of questions for each participant. Participants securing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
were awarded certificates, gift vouchers and a gift hamper of baked goodies.
On the whole, despite the online interface restricting their ability to organize events, the
French Association did not fail in making the best of what they had.

1. Deadlock - 5th August, 2020:
The Computer Society (Jr.) was not deterred by the trying times of the year and orchestrated
the event on an online platform- Microsoft Teams. The event started with an elimination
round where the participants engaged themselves in a challenging quiz. Next, the participants
answered many trivia questions that helped them earn exciting coupons. This was followed by
a round that tested the finalists' creativity, promptness and problem-solving skills with the
teams presenting their solutions and enticing the judges with their pitches.
Round 1 was an elimination trivia based on general economics knowledge and current affairs.
The top 10 teams made it to the next round which was a logo quiz which required quick
thinking and of course, fast typing skills. Finally, the top 5 teams qualified for the last round
which was a product development and selling round.
In the final round, the teams were given some of the most basic, yet common issues faced by
everyone on a day to day basis. The participants had to select one of these problems and were
required to create a product to effectively overcome these problems and come up with
effective solutions. They also had to market their product with a good tagline explaining its
main features.
The objective of this event was to give the participants a chance to present their ideas and be a
creator, an innovator, a disruptor and an adventurer. It inspired them to think like a true
entrepreneur and be a game changer.
This event was essentially divided into 2 rounds, first being the preliminary quiz round tested
the overall knowledge with respect to recent scams and their specifics. The second round was
a scam uncovering and investigating round. Top 3 teams from the preliminary round qualified
for the second round. In this round the participants needed to uncover scams of various types
and difficulty levels.
In the first level the participants had to put on their investigative hats and solve a cyber scam
by figuring out the corrupt source in an email. The difficulty level escalated in the further two
levels where the participants were provided with heterogeneous, complex and jumbled data
pertaining to different financial scams. The participants needed to present the data in a
chronological order (essentially in a format of a timeline) to summarise the scam and identify
the culprits from the source and data provided. Their scam uncovering ability was tested with
the help of three scams of varying difficulty.

Drawing a line is the first thing that a child learns after he holds a pencil. It appears that
drawing the line is probably the easiest thing to learn and to do. But merely drawing it on
paper is not enough. One also needs to learn the importance of drawing it in our day to day
life. By this, I mean to say that humanity needs to be abstemious in its whims and fancies.
There should be a limit or a boundary to whatever we do because morally unrestrained actions
can only culminate into a catastrophe.
Why is mankind forgetting to draw the line? Why is no one understanding the gravity of the
problem?
Humans have gone too far to achieve their materialistic targets. We have barged into almost
every area which does not even belong to us. So much so that we have displaced and misused
every other species’ area, be it nature, animals, birds, or marine life. Our atomic bombs have
created perpetual repercussions, so have the gas leaks from nuclear plants. We, in our greed to
expand and progress, have forgotten how abundantly we are blessed by the Almighty. We are
perhaps the only species that is on a mission to destroy our own planet. In the name of
progress and development, we have invaded and annihilated almost all natural habitats,
resources and disturbed every living being on earth.
Why is it getting so difficult to coexist? Why do we not understand that we have no other
planet to go to? Everything is designed by God in such a beautiful way to support life. Then
why are we destroying the set-up?
It is time that we learn our lessons. We have spread stygian darkness for our future
generations. However, we just need one thing to get ourselves out of the pit in which we have
fallen. And that is the determination to do something good for our planet and to know our
boundaries.
There is no calamity greater than lavish desires. There is no disaster greater than greed. If we
don’t stop today then we would be forced to stop by the omnipotent nature through natural
apocalypses and that will be the greatest pain which mankind will not be able to endure.
Thus, we should start acting immediately and “Draw the Line” which has been missing since
centuries. I urge mankind to draw the line and bring in the sunshine.

We often blame the increasing pollution in our surroundings for our ill health and
compromised well-being, but we often neglect the toxicity in our society emerging within our
brethren leading to our dwindling health and growing mental imbalance. The society as a whole
has been shrouded in darkness in the form of interpersonal judgement transforming our joy
into a rather sorrowful and dilemmatic age of everlasting melancholy.
This darkness which keeps increasing rapidly with every passing day, is whitewashed and
ignored in the name of development and an era- based transitioning. Our generation absolutely
loves to dwell in the hollowness of frivolous social life, so much so that the things which seem
the most imperative are often ignored.
The family, our responsibilities, regardless of gender, are questioned upon by our youth so
regularly now that although, we have become relatively literate, we now use this double-edged
sword to cut the past more often, than to slash our way into mental and social progress in the
present as well as in future.
The human mind is bound to question certain absurdities brought about by our ancestors, and
in all honesty, this is completely justified. However, after a point the entire maxim of progress
is to question our beliefs only to find a solution rather than rebelling against them to prove our
current progress which is merely relative.
The day we understand this basic principle and respect our society without being indifferent
about our responsibilities, while finding a meaningful realm of mindfulness rather than dwelling
in the frivolity of social life just to understand the real meaning of happiness and peace in
society, a new horizon of possibilities will emerge.
We often believe that ignoring this toxicity is the best way to keep our mental balance intact,
but when has ignoring a problem ever been an optimum solution?
We need to stand up together to make it clear in our minds and in our societies that judgement
and hate is not the way to establish dominance around. Remember, a true leader always carries
all his brethren together without any indifference, while a dictator holds rules over society
while ordering his dominance and authority just to prove his worth to himself, so he alone can
sleep peacefully.

This write-up is of paramount importance for people adoring history. Without a doubt, India
has a rich culture and an amazing history. There are some events in the past, which are so
insightful that even after years, they stand to be relevant and path-breaking. I want to discuss
one such incident- the 3 warnings by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
On 25th November 1949, Ambedkar gave a speech in the House, summing up the work done by
him and the Drafting Committee. He gave a short speech on the Constitution and some of its
striking features. But, at the tail-end of his speech, he gave 3 warnings about the future.
Warning-1: Satyagraha
I know what you might be thinking right now- that how can a concept which helped us gain
independence be a threat for our future? In the opinion of Ambedkar, activities like civil
disobedience, Satyagraha and non-cooperation should be abandoned for the benefit of all. The
reason for the same is that such acts are justifiable to a certain extent in an autocratic set-up
but not under democracy.
Do you agree with this? Should popular protests be considered as threat to the nation?
Sometimes life puts you in an uncomfortable position, in a place where you feel you are not
ready to be in, not strong enough to handle, not emotionally prepared to work with. It pushes
you beyond the limits that you had placed for yourself. Life puts you in circumstances that you
feel unprepared for - and the reality is, no matter how long you wait, there are some
circumstances that you never can be prepared for. There are some phases that you simply
need to be pushed towards in order to mature and grow. Sometimes, you simply find yourself
having to taste the bitterness of difficulty in order to gain the knowledge that your soul truly
needs. In life, you will find yourself being pushed out of your comfort zone, tested against your
own boundaries, and learning - sometimes through blessings and other times through lessons.
Sometimes, to learn the best lessons and mature in the best way you must be willing to accept
the uncomfortable position life puts you in.
Remember the times when we were young? How reckless and unbothered we used to be! It did
not matter what people thought of us. We were the “we” , we loved and wanted to be.
Somebody's opinion of us would never affect us. We did what we liked and asked for what we
wanted without overthinking. We were full of innocence. We possessed a nonchalant aura.
Above all, we were FEARLESS, and this boldness was expressive. Things that we were most
afraid of doing or were refrained from doing; was the first thing we would do. Oh, but then we
grew up!
We were exposed to the whims and fancies of the outside world along with the dark parts of it.
Now that we are older, we bear grudges so quickly, get frustrated, want to take hold of those
things that are way beyond our control, we give up easily and predominantly we are scared!
Scared of failure, scared of judgements, of social pressure, of missing out, of taking new steps,
of starting new beginnings, of trusting new people. In a nutshell we are now scared of risking
it, because of the mere thought of an erratic outcome. We dread taking a chance because we
don’t have the strength to go through pain. The “what if's” crawl in here. "What if everything
goes wrong", "What if I lose all I have"?
My point here is, just because you lose once, you wouldn’t dare to give yourself a second
chance, give another try to your endeavour? For once train your mind, put in the efforts, take
the risk, and give in your all. Of course, it’s natural to fear the unknown, but if you don’t even
try, is it even worth living? Our life revolves around risks. When you let even the slightest of
fear take control of your actions and decisions, you might as well in turn, end up risking ‘losing
a golden opportunity’. All those decisions you are scared to take, take them now; all those
things you want to say, but you have just been rehearsing it in your head, waiting for the right
time; say it now. Better late than never. Accept the odds, don’t let a negative aftermath
discourage you. I'm not saying everything will always turn out to be perfect. Perfection is an
illusion. There'll be problems that come without a solution manual, but stay positive in the 50-
50 probability of the happening of an event and dare to risk it.
Problems come as a blessing in disguise. They help you grow. Don't let obstacles defeat you.
Make new discoveries, enhance yourself, explore yourself, and work on yourself. Everything
happens for a reason. Stay positive and strong always!
The Covid-19 Pandemic has changed us to a great extent. It engaged us in finding something
unique within ourselves and in the world. No matter how difficult and painful these times have
been, it has taught us a lot, it made us really go and grow through hardships. We've all come
out immensely stronger. Try to look at the bright side of things. Nothing lasts forever, these
tough times will come to an end soon.

Ever thought about an instance when you had expected a good outcome from a work you
performed diligently, but rather got a negative one? It must have disappointed you to the core,
so much that you started doubting your skills and confidence.
Some would say they had humongous expectations and hence they had a tough fall. Maybe,
they are right. Maybe, not. The reason for our disappointment is not the outcome, but our own
expectations. In any given work, you have three possibilities; either you will meet your
expectations at par or you will over achieve or else you will under achieve. We find the latter
one the toughest to handle. So how could one not get disappointed by an unfavourable
outcome of the work?
It is simple. One just needs to focus upon the means and the ways to achieve the desired
outcome, rather than actually focusing upon the outcome. It is absolutely fine to have a
benchmark which guides you through your journey. But, what you have under control is not
the fruit, but only the efforts.
When you are satisfied with the degree of efforts you have put in, you will never lose your
confidence or doubt your competence, no matter what the outcome is.

Love for Travelling
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Travelling is a part of life. It is a necessity to escape the monotonous routine back at home. It is
when we truly find our inner soul. The biggest advantage of travelling is that one gets an
experience to interact with locals out there. The locals love to hear foreigners babble in their
language.
We get to experience the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of that particular place.
One can wax their knowledge by travelling. We can know about their [place’s] cuisines and
what not! You experience both, good and bad, when you are travelling. These experiences help
us to mould ourselves into adaptable human beings. Let me tell you why I love travelling. I love
the excitement of it all- feeling like a wanderer, discovering new land, a new language, new
currency, new people, and new adventures! Being impulsive and optimistic for nearly
everything is the fun part!
The adrenaline rush of travelling excites me. Travelling broadens your mind in so many
ways. You meet new people, share your experiences, rather than being caught up in the
repetitive routine at home. We get to see how the world lives. I am not there to complain about
how it is ‘different than back home’, but rather to embrace and accept these changes! I like
landing in a new place, and then trying to figure it out- How to speak the language? How to
manage my meals? How to pack my luggage perfectly so, I do not pack it for the 23rd time!
Well, I do not like this mundane task but it is better than staying back home!
I love the simplicity of it all. Buying souvenirs act as memories of that place in future!
Meeting new people, expressing views on certain aspects with others moulds us into better
individuals. Hence, it is rightly said -
“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.”

Do you hit the snooze button on your alarm planning to wait for another few minutes before
waking up? Does panic then set in that you will get late? Well, for thousands of people, it is the
normal start to the day. Everyone desires to have more energy, productivity, better attitude,
clearer thoughts but doesn’t have a clear answer about how to achieve it.
What you cultivate in the morning will influence the way you think, feel and act. The tone of
the morning will set the tone for the rest of the day. Call your alarm clock an opportunity clock
and wake up to the amazing day in front of you. Detach yourself from technology for the first
hour of the day and begin your day with awareness and a positive focus. Kick-start your
morning by practicing gratitude and take a few minutes to smile. Drink a glass of lemon water,
eat a healthy breakfast and get moving. Clear your mental chatter by writing down a to-do list
in the order of priority. And spend half an hour doing something you love.
The perfect start will keep you motivated and mentally and physically ready to tackle all the
challenges!!

My heart is an island,
Inside this castaway.
Encircled by the blue,
I desire to cruise someday.
To be kissed by moonlight,
Furthermore, stroked by stars,
Hung in obscured blue,
Moving from Jupiter to Mars.

A spark,
A flame,
A lamp in the darkness,
Or a ray filled with hope,
In the darkest of nights,
Like a bright little star,
There comes many a moment,
From not very far,
Yes, deep in my heart,
Just so very close,
A sweet simple word,
A sincere wish,
A spotless spot of conscience,
Not made of precious gems,
Or sparkling metal gold,
I wish for a light ,a tiny flame,
To fill up our lives,
During the pandemic with happiness and light .
My heart waiting to see,
Times when one is grateful for all the blessings ,
Times when in the warmth of our hearts,
Scattered like blooms of spring time,
In the wholeness of being complete,
No waits
None in despair,
Just looking forward to a time that heals.
Praying that abundance lives in our hearts,
Like a whole hearted smile,
And countless colours paint the scene,
Glorious kind Nature,
Pouring life into our being .
At times ,conflicting
At times, comforting,
A belief in the goodness,
That belongs to all,
In silence ,in words,
I seek ,the beauty in all,
A prayer of calm,
A wish for time to be the balm,
I want the best there is ,
For us ,for you and for me ......

Pyaar to woh mujhse aasmaano ki unchaiyon aur samundar ki gehraiyon se bhi jyada karti hai,
Magar ye sanskar dene ke chakkar me kabhi daat bhi liya karti hai.
Uski daat ka dukh
mere se jyada usey hua karta hai.
Meri khushiyon ka sukoon
Mere se jyada uske chehre pe dikha karta hai.

Toh usme bhi beshaq koi khed nahi.

Donc,

On
d'AMOUR!!
