THE BIGGER PICTURE

Our goal is to

change
About the
Zero Waste
Living Lab
Indonesia
Indonesia Govt’s Ambition
● Indonesia generates 6.8 million tonnes of plastic waste each
year, of which approximately 620,000 tonnes per year leak
into waterways and the ocean

● Without a major intervention, plastic pollution, including

ocean leakage, will increase 30% by 2025 and more than
double within a generation (i.e. by 2040)

● Indonesia’s National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) has

developed five key Action Plans, which is the country’s first
comprehensive analysis of plastic solutions with the goal to
achieve a 70% reduction in the nation’s marine plastic debris
by 2025.

● Part of the five key actions plans is “Reduce and Substitute”

action, projected to prevent the consumption of around 6.5
million tonnes of plastics per year by 2040
An introduction to Zero Waste Living Lab Indonesia
Mission & approach
Our approach
The Zero Waste Living Lab is a market development program to ideate, test and build impact initiatives and
enable them to strive on a larger scale.

We strive to build a portfolio of complementary businesses that together can start serving growing amounts of
customers in a zero waste lifestyle.

We build ventures by employing three main strategies: scaling, replicating and ideating.

SCALING IMPACT REPLICATING IDEATING
