Submission Day: Saturday QUESTION NO. 01: Think of a product that really reminds you of your childhood-(a particular candy bar, a toy, a television show etc.). What is the positioning of that product in your mind? Describe how you would reposition that product to appeal to children now? ANSWER: A product that really reminds me of my childhood is LEGO. From creating quality products to focusing on packaging, both key factors we need to consider while building a brand that appeals children. To make my product more appealing it has to be playful, the packaging must be eye catching, and the quality is the highest priority. On the other hand, for a parent to approve of the product, it has to be age-appropriate. The product needs to have a larger story that differentiates you from the competitors. Lego can also found success with building sets for licensed entertainment products, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and Toy Story, which also compete with the action figure equivalent. One of the great things about Lego, is that you get both a building experience that can continue on and role-play on top of that, whereas in some other categories, you don’t get as much dynamism in the product proposition.
