Mirai Split - Air-Water Split heat pump DC Inverter
MIRAI-SPLIT offers both a compact size as well as a complete range of functions, since the components of the heating and cooling system, such as the
circulation pump, expansion vessel and temperature control instruments, are already incorporated inside the machine.
The unit is composed of two sections with internal hydraulic module and external unit with refrigerant circuit at R410A.
Two units are connected by refrigerant lines for the refrigerant circulation.
The simplicity of its installation also meets the versatility of the machine, which can operate with an outdoor temperature until -20 °C, suitable for a
variety of system types such as radiant systems (heating/cooling), terminal air units (cassette or fan-coil convectors) and low-temperature radiators thanks
to the wide range of water flow temperature settings which can be as high as 55 °C.
Furthermore, since it’s designed for residential use, the type of electric power supply required and the truly reduced consumptions make it compat-ible
with the standard electricity supply conditions set by the provider.
“DC Inverter” technology allows continuous variation of the power according to the demands of the system, an optimised management of the electricity
consumptions as well, thus increasing the product’s performances so as to guarantee the compliance of the strict foreseen energy efficiency criteria.

duce the noise. In fact, by flowing the superheated refrigerant inside the external exchan-
ger in wintertime and making it condense, it causes the ice melting on the
fins surface.
Compressor
The compressor used is a the rotary type one (rotary piston).
These parts have all variable volume thanks to the possibility of adjusting
the rotation speed.
Rotary compressors are equipped with dual piston with opposite eccentri-
city respect to the rotation axis.
This feature allows an optimal balancing of the compressor itself with the
relevant drastic reduction of vibrations and noise. The compressors are
powered with single-phase or three-phase voltage according to the model
(see technical data general board).
The motor connected to these hermetic type compressors (so called due to
the fact that all their parts are contained in a precise hermetic casing) is
of DC type having an adjustable speed rotor with permanent magnets. The
refrigerant is R410A, which ensures a good level of energy efficiency and Heat exchanger

request.
Such device contains a range of other devices controlled by a specific sof-
tware program for the motor protection against power overloads, overvol-
tages, excessive temperatures or errors in the three-phase electrical power
sequence.
All these events are highlighted by specific alarms that must be necessa-
rily followed by careful analysis to “tackle the root“of the causes.
Through the control panel placed on the outdoor unit, it is possible to limit
the maximum compressor frequency, in heating and in cooling mode.

Electric fan
The Fan/s is an axial type of large diameter.
EH0815-SN model is equipped with single fan, the other models are
equipped with two fans overlaid one another. The particular blades profile
along with the low speed rotation ensure a considerable air flow and an
extraordinary quiet operation.
The motor that starts them is a DC one with permanent magnet rotor.
This solution is the one that mostly limits the power consumptions for the
high-energy efficiency levels; this technology is replacing the still wide-
spread one, of the asynchronous motors with condenser. Also in this case
it would be advisable a periodic fan cleaning (at least a two years fre-
quency) to prevent dirt accumulation causing an imbalance with the con-
sequent vibrations increase besides noise coming from the external unit.

external unit, according to the difference between saturation temperature
at the evaporator and the intake temperature at the compressor (this dif-
ference is called "refrigerant overheating").

The liquid separator

Before being sucked in by the compressor, the refrigerant passes through
the liquid separator.
In fact, there may be particularly heavy circumstances linked to the limits
of work in winter cycle (heating) where a part of the refrigerant is unable to Air valve
fully evaporate before being sucked.
This can occur for example during the defrost phase where, as a result of
the cycle reversal, the refrigerant liquid accumulated into the internal heat
exchanger (remember that in winter cycle it acts as a condenser, therefore
it accumulates a certain amount of refrigerant liquid), it is “pushed” toward
the compressor suction (given that as a result of the cycle inversion, the
internal exchanger becomes the evaporator, connected to the compressor
suction).
Therefore, the separator function is to prevent the liquid refrigerant acces-
ses the compression member causing serious damages due to the well-
known and significant non-compressibility of the liquids themselves.
Warning
A second important circumstance that can determine the return of liquid
refrigerant to the compressor is related to its overloads. For this reason, Safety valve
it is very important to strictly abide by the regulations of refrigerant load
defined by appropriate tables (see "refrigerator connections" paragraph).
A testing element that makes this circumstance very clear is the one re-
lated to the compressor discharge temperature (measured on its smallest
pipe) very low in relation to the normal values (from a minimum of 55°C to
a maximum of 95°C depending on working conditions of the machine de-
termined, in final analysis, by the system water temperature and by those
of the air outside). A second element which can point out excessive refrige-
rant loads with the consequent liquid suction is the power absorption, if it
is significantly higher than the values defined by the "performances board",
it is very likely that there is too much refrigerant.

Its dimensioning ensures a low pressure drops value, both in water and Especially during summer cooling cycle (or the winter defrosting phase),
in refrigerant, to optimize the yields of both the refrigeration circuit and water could freeze in the heat exchanger causing irreparable damages to
the water circuit. the cooling circuit.
In fact, due to its greater volume, ice deforms and creates gaps between
the plates which allow water to enter the cooling circuit and the compres-
sor thus damaging it irreparably.
Warning
For the correct operation, a water filter installation is required to be con-
nect to the inlet pipe.
Failure to comply with this requirement may cause irreparable damages
to the plate evaporator.
In fact, any dirt present into the system can enter the heat exchanger.
However, it is useful to make accurate cleaning cycles of the system by
making abundant water quantity circulate, discharging it before finally
closing the fittings.

Water pressure gauge

A water pressure gauge located on the control panel of the indoor unit
indicates the water pressure into the system.
Once the system has been filled and the air completely relased, make sure
that the pressure does not exceed 1.5 BAR with the machine stopped or
in cooling mode.
