    The Intergenerational School, also called the “School of Life” and “The Home for Wisdom and Learning”,

    was founded in 1904 by Max Dessoir. Dessoir began his work with different orphanages throughout
    Europe and during that time he would help to care for children who were coming out of prostitution or
    drug abuse. At this time there was a large number of orphans in the world so Max wanted to create an
    environment where those children could be cared for with respect and kindness. He gathered hundreds
    of children from around the world including Asia, Africa, South America
