My Son Sanctuary

I will introduce about the Mỹ Sơn Santuary

You are standing in front of one of the two world cultural heritages of Quang Nam
province with ancient cultural and architectural values still preserved over the years.
This is the largest and most beautiful ancient tower in Quang Nam, an architectural
work classified / clet si phai đờ/ as beautiful in the world. My Son Sanctuary has a
total of 13 /thớt tin/ groups of works with more than 70 / seven ty/ architectures of
temples and towers, to this day, despite being ravaged / rá vịt dờ/ by rain and bullets /
bú lịt/, it still retains the architectural art of sculpture . sờ cup trờ/ to the culture of the
Cham people after experiencing it over a thousand years.
The architecture of My Son Sanctuary with its unique and sophisticated design is
divided into 6 typical types. This relic / ré lịc/ was forgotten until 1898 / ết tin nai ti
ết/, when a Frenchman and his colleagues discovered the relic hidden in the forest, in
the heart of the surrounding valley / vé lì/ protected by two majestic / mơ jet tic/
mountains. Walking in the relic, we will see the Linga - Zoni set and also the
worshiping statue of the ancient Champa people.
In addition, another special impression that makes My Son Sanctuary site famous is
the brick used to build the ancient towers. The bricks of the Cham people are lightly
fired, so they are not very hard, and have many different sizes. The bricks are fired and
cut into blocks, then cleverly stacked without the use of any binders./ bái đờ/
As you can see, the Sanctuary consists of two opposite hills. Right at the intersection
there is a stream, the stream becomes the boundary dividing this place into four areas.
Now, follow me to see the inside of the temple with your own eyes. It is not as wide
and airy / é ờ ri/ as we often think, but its space is narrow and lacks light because only
believers and clergy / c lơ gi/ can enter. Here, we can learn about the origin,
architecture, and culture of the ancient ChamPa people through vivid / ví vịt/ and eye-
catching images that make it easy for you to approach. /ơ p râu chờ/
It’s a pity that our group came to visit at the wrong time when the atmosphere of My
Son was the most bustling. If lucky to come on the right occasion, in addition to
discovering the above unique relics, visitors also have the opportunity to participate in
the special Kate festival of the Cham people, which takes place at the tower with
rituals /rí truo/ of praying for peace, palanquin / pa lơn kin/ procession, water
procession, vestments and Kate. And yet, there are many cultural performances of
ethnic musical instruments, and dances of very flexible and skillful artists, typically
the magical Apsara dance.
The My Son Sanctuary complex is a masterpiece / mát tơ pịt/ of human creativity /cri
ây tí vơ ti/ , a living and unique evidence /é vi đừn/ of the cultural traditions of the
Champa civilization / ci vơ lai zây sừn/. Therefore, we need to raise awareness of
preserving and protecting this world cultural heritage.
