Responsible for the skill content including:
 Breastfeeding

Several points that students should be focused on and noticed about:


1. Patient identification is a major critical point.
2. Students should introduce themselves before any actions or procedure.
3. Perform hand hygiene before touching the patient and the after the procedure ends.
4. Provide health education and information detailly to the patients.
5. Choosing the position of breastfeeding correctly.

 Newborn bathing

Several points that students should be focused on and noticed about:


1. Patient identification is a major critical point.
2. Students should introduce themselves before any actions or procedure
3. 3 towels we should use during new-born bathing.
1st towel: the time applied before hair and face washing
2nd towel: for drying baby’s hair and body after washing
Blanket: after bathing procedure
4. Environment temperature for the room is 25°C-27°C.
5. Apply a diaper before putting the baby back to his or her car.
6. The appropriate way to hold the baby has to be noticed.
7. Fill the basin or infant tub with half or one-third of water. (*monitor the baby’s safety)

 Abdominal Palpation
 Vaccination

A.) Abdominal Palpation


1. Patient identification is a major critical point.
2. Assessment and note any of the contraindications.
3. Record the result appropriately.
4. Oral environment security for safety, air, warmth, etc.
5. Instruct the patients to empty their bladder before proceeding.
6. The position for the abdominal palpation. (Dorsal recumbent position)

B.) Vaccination
1. The 3 checks, 8 rights should keep in mind.
2. Assessment and note any of the contraindications. For instance, any allergy.
3. Infection control should be improved.
4. Practice the position of injection correctly.
