Electric vehicles (EVs) are common in Beijing.

Using GIS
techniques, the authors want to observe the correlation in
Mapping the dynamics of space between the demand of EV drivers with the supply
electric vehicle charging from public charging stations. Datasets such as charging
stations, information on drivers throughout Beijing, land
demand within Beijing’s use map and the map of Beijing were collected. Data
spatial structure cleaning was first done to filter EV drivers from non-EV
drivers in Beijing. Then Heat map analysis or Kernel data
analysis was done to create a raster out of the data
points of the EV drivers. This was also done to charging
station points. The resulting map shows spatial
consistency between CDI (Charging Demand Indicator)
