Possible Questions:

 What is your research study all about?

Ans: The research study is about finding out whether or not the substance extracted from the sampa-
sampalukan leaves are capable of exterminating or at least inhibit bacterial growth and infections of
staphylococcus saprophyticus.

 Why did you choose this topic?

Ans: Since staphylococcus saprophyticus commonly causes uncomplicated UTI in young sexually active
females, the researchers wanted to provide information to potentially develop an inexpensive
alternative treatment.

 What is the scope of your study?

Ans: Phytochemical screening and disk diffusion will be utilized to determine the bactericidal
effectiveness of sampa-sampalukan leaf extract against staphylococcus saprophyticus, it shall only be
tested on the bacteria mentioned. To determine its effectiveness, the researchers will be using a control
group in which Amoxicillin will also be used on the bacteria and the results shall be compared and
described in the study.

 What is the significance of the study?

Ans: The study will answer the question of whether or not the produced extract from the plant will be
effective in mitigating staphylococcus saprophyticus. Positive results will lead to potential production of
alternative inexpensive treatments for diseases caused by the bacteria. It will be significant to the
following beneficiaries: pharmaceutical companies, the community, teachers and students, and to
future researchers.

 What are your research variables?

Ans: Independent variable =

 Research methodology

Ans: Experimental and descriptive research design was used.

 What are the limitations encountered?

Ans: (Factors that you can’t control) The researchers cannot control the phytochemicals that are present
in the plant, hence its effectiveness or ineffectiveness is out of the researchers’ control.

5. mga nasa SOP:

 1. What are the active antibacterial constituents of sampa-sampalukan (Phyllanthus niruri)?

 2. What is the level of effectiveness of sampa-sampalukan (Phyllanthus niruri) leaf extract as an
antibacterial against Staphylococcus saprophyticus?
 3. Is there any significant difference between the chemically produced antibacterial property of
sampa-sampalukan (Phyllanthus niruri) leaf extract against Staphylococcus saprophyticus?

7. The conceptual framework has a paradigm that displays the input process and output of the study.
Wherein, the Sampa-sampalukan (Phyllanthus niruri) Leaf Extract is the input, and it shall undergo
processes such as extraction, phytochemical screening, and disk diffusion, which would ultimately lead
to the output of Bactericidal Effectiveness of Sampa-sampalukan (Phyllanthus niruri) Leaf Extract against
Staphylococcus saprophyticus.

9. It is an experimental research, because the researchers will be conducting an experiment to attain the
leaf extract as well as the application of the extract to the bacteria.

10. This study is sort of modified from an existing research but not entirely. The idea of testing for a
plant’s antibacterial effectiveness against particular bacteria was derived from an existing research
however the plant and bacteria have been altered to fit the research gap.
