STILLING CHAMBER
A stilling chamber is a portion of the system specifically designed to allow the liquid flow rate to significantly
decrease. When the liquid flow rate is decreased, the entrapped gas can rise to the surface, degassing the
liquid.

FLASH MIXER (BAFFLE CHANNEL TYPE)
SWD = 0.260 m
No of Baffles = 38 Nos.
Width = 0.6 m
Length = 8 m
The Purpose of flash mixing is to disperse coagulant throughout the mass of water rapidly and uniformly to
create a homogeneous system. This helps in the formation of mircroflocs. Baffle channel in which baffles in
the form of fins, blades or plates are provided at certain distance on opposite walls of the channel in alternate
positions to enable flow around the end and proper mixing.
