Professional training programs are conducted for UG and PG students to enhance

their clinical skills in order to offer quality care to patients. It

is conducted within nursing labs at JIET College of Nursing, JGI Jodhpur.
Programs are scheduled well in advance by nursing teaching staff and Faculty
members in the Competency Lab

Everyone should have knowledge of first aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). No
one knows when it will be in need to save someone's life. So, on February 12, 2020, a hands-on
practice on "Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation" was delivered by Mr. Bharat Kumar Assistant
Professor (JIET College of Nursing) and an expert lecture on "First Aid" was delivered by Mr.
Pawan Kumar, Nursing Tutor (JIET College of Nursing) for I Year Bachelor of Design students

“First –Aid in Fracture” by Ms. Akanksha Rathore, Assistant Professor, (CHN Dept), and
“Techniques of Bandaging “by Mrs. Rashmi Joshi (Child Health Nursing Dept.)
20/03/2021, The advance skill lab aims at teaching and training JIETCON students, the essential
advance nursing skills to provide overarching care for adult patients suffering from variety of disease
conditions. It prepares nursing graduates qualified in the care of the adult patient according to the
highest standards of nursing care. JIETCON provides hand on learning experiences that are specific
to course objectives as directed by the nursing curriculum.

We don't have to feel helpless in circumstances where first aid could save lives because everyone can #learn life-saving skills. World First Aid Day is observed on the
second Saturday of September annually. On Sept 11, 2021, the JIET College of #Nursing celebrated World First Aid Day to increase #awareness that first aid is an
essential skill that can save many lives. Another purpose of this #celebration is to encourage everyone to join first aid training and show the importance of first aid. 
Session on "Basic life support & CPR" was taken by Mr. Bharat – Asst. Prof & Mr. Kushal -Lecturer, JIETCON, highlighted the topic with demonstration Practices.

A #practice_session was organized for the nursing students in the #Nursing skill lab to shorten this
curve.

As students walk into the skills lab, They can expect to see an assortment of complex nursing
instruments such as Forceps, dilators, curettage Brauns Scissor & various types of equipment. Skills lab
can be viewed as an open discussion – as students identify each part of the equipment and explore
when, where, and how to use it effectively.

On Aug 18, 2021, final year students of JIET college of Nursing presented their research work as part of the Nursing curriculum.
Students were divided into five groups according to the research topic allotted by the co-guide. The group leader and member explained the research work and its
importance for healthcare. Prof. K Punithalakshmi, Principal JIETCON and other faculty members were present during the presentation.
Principal - JIETCON emphasized the importance of #research in #Nursing. Research helps nurses determine effective best practices and improve patient care. As
researchers make #discoveries, the nursing #practice continues to change and allows nurses to respond to the changes in the #healthcare environment, #patient
populations, and government regulations.

Blood pressure assessment is an integral part of clinical practice.
B.Sc First-year students of JIETCON practised Demonstrating how to measure BP in the Nursing Foundation lab, under the supervision of Dr Preeti Chouhan
(Associate Prof). This learning activity will help First-year students achieve the skills required to obtain an accurate manual blood pressure reading. As
multidisciplinary health care team members, nursing students will routinely receive and assess a patient’s blood pressure.

I year Students of JIETCON performed return demonstration Practice in #Nursing
Foundation Lab.
The first set of clinical examinations is an evaluation of the cardinal signs of the
patient. Triage of patients in an urgent/prompt care or an emergency department
has based on their cardinal sign.
#Healthcare providers must understand the various physiologic and pathologic
processes affecting these measurements and their proper interpretation.
