1. Introduction of Samsung Companies

Due to lower demand for its flagship goods, Samsung Electronics, the world's largest
manufacturer of memory chips and smartphones, announced a fall in fourth-quarter
net profit on Thursday. SAMSUNG won't soon forget the unfortunate events of
August 2016 that almost destroyed the reputation of the largest smartphone
manufacturer in the world. Some even think that the company won't likely recover
after that. As of September 1, 2016, the company's flagship product, the Galaxy Note
7, may have been implicated in 35 "explosion" cases, according to sources, and the
number has reportedly increased everyday since the announcement. The South
Korean behemoth immediately issued a worldwide recall for all Note 7 products, with
the exception of a few countries like India where sales had not yet started.
The company continues to receive complaints despite the fact that the product has
been recalled. Customers are advised to send back their Note 7 to any customer
care location worldwide, and they will get their phone back as soon as new stock
arrives. While this is happening, some airlines have made it impossible to bring the
Galaxy Note 7 on board, and some nations have even asked Samsung to temporarily
cease all sales until the problem has been handled. The product's battery capacity
was increased dramatically during development, by 60%. According to Samsung, this
can reduce the possibility of an explosion or battery damage.

2. Use public relation as a process that introduce by John Marston in order to overcome
the case

John Marston (R.A.C.E)

Research
According to Schunker, one of the key tasks completed by his team included the
testing of 200,000 Note 7 devices by 700 researchers and engineers who worked
around the clock to identify the root cause of the product's problem.
As it is "our mission to ensure that Samsung's engineering strength, which is in our
DNA," the executive said, "our researchers assessed, investigated, and dissected
30,000 Note 7 batteries in an effort to find a solution."

Action Planning
Actually, when the incident occurred, we were completely unaware of what had
occurred. To implement the Note 7's recovery, Samsung will work more diligently and
openly. In order to convey the results of Samsung Mobile President Koh Dong's
investigation, we first held a news conference that had never been done before. Jin's.
A unique approach was used when developing the product to increase the
smartphone's battery capacity by 60%. According to Samsung, this could reduce the
possibility of an explosion or battery damage.

Communication
He acknowledged that one of the suppliers' failure to offer a high-density battery with
a design flaw that resulted in combustion in the device was a contributing element in
the catastrophe, but he also gave a full justification that got to the bottom of the
problem.

3
It is critical that Samsung, in particular, own up to its faults. In fact, doing so might be
an essential first step before seeking to regain the users' faith that has already been
lost.

The movie shows that Samsung will do everything it takes to fix any problems, no
matter how minor or significant, in order to keep up with its expanding business.

Customers of Samsung are turning to other retailers once again because of that
mentality, the Note 8's release, and the company's new tagline, "Do what you
cannot."

Evaluation
In an effort to demonstrate its transparency, Samsung also undertook an audit by a
third party, which, according to him, had a good chance of succeeding because of its
devoted and committed customers around the world. Based on this assessment, the
tools that will help in measuring against the specified criteria the most efficiently are
selected. The same technologies that were used to produce the benchmark data are
typically still in use. If primary research was utilised to establish standards, the same
processes are employed to evaluate success. If you surveyed employees to establish
awareness and attitude benchmarks, a follow-up survey is the obvious measuring
tool. If attendance at staff meetings was used to establish behaviour goals, counting
attendance after the general PR programme is the appropriate assessment
technique. Primary research is the most expensive and requires the most
experience, but it is also the best indicator of the actual impact of a PR effort on its
intended result targets.

3. The future plan if the case happened again.

This move follows the implementation of Samsung's strategic strategy to improve

overall business efficiency in the management of Samsung operations in Malaysia.
Nevertheless, we commend Samsung for its dedication to providing a just and
appropriate aid package for affected employees. Samsung will continue to make
Malaysia an important hub in the ASEAN market through companies including
Samsung Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEMA), Samsung Malaysia Electronics
Sdn. Bhd. (SME), and Samsung SDI Energy Sdn. Bhd., according to MIDA (SDIE). In
total, Samsung said it would retain more than 5,000 workers in Malaysia. The
company is also committed to providing suitable and just support programmes for
impacted employees. Other Samsung businesses in Malaysia will absorb potential
personnel, he added. Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd taught 85
engineers from 300 service centres to improve the skills and knowledge of its
workforce. According to Alex Tang, customer service manager for mobile devices and
information technology (IT), the intention is to inspire engineers to seek out new
knowledge and provide the best customer service. They want to motivate the
engineers to advance further and not stop at one level.

4. Conclusion

The fundamental factor in Samsung's revival is its openness in the face of industry
criticism as well as the discontent of the company's ardent global supporters.
Because of this, when Samsung introduces the Note 8, the newest model of the

4
Galaxy Note, it no longer wants to "shock itself" but rather values the support of its
customers all around the world.
