A character whom I admire the most in the novel Moby

Dick is Starbuck because he is brave.

Starbuck is the only man on the Pequod who tries
to stand up to Captain Ahab and his obsession. When
the crew are excited by the promise of gold if they
catch Moby Dick, Starbuck reminds Captain Ahab that
their purpose is to hunt whales for their oil, not to get
revenge for Captain Ahab. When the barrels of whale
oil begin to leak, Starbuck insists that Captain Ahab
stop the ship so that they can save the oil. He does not
stop until Captain Ahab threatens him with a gun.
In conclusion, I admire Starbuck because he is
brave.
Answer (page 20)
In the novel Moby Dick, an event that made me happy
was when the whalers chose to save Pip instead of
catching a whale.
Pip had to go out on a boat with the men to hunt a
whale because one of the crew had broken his arm.
When Tashtego’s harpoon hit a whale behind its eye,
the angry whale turned around and hit the boat.
Frightened, Pip jumped out of the boat but his leg was
caught in the harpoon rope. When the whale swam
away, it pulled Pip along with him.
In order to free Pip the whalers would have to cut
the rope. At first the men hesitated because they
didn’t want to lose the whale. But in the end they
chose to save Pip.
Moby Dick
In the novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville, I was
impressed with Captain Ahab’s determination.I don’t
agree with his crazy goal to hunt and kill Moby Dick but
I like his perseverance in achieving his goal. He looks at
maps and makes plans. He gets someone with unique
skills to help him look for Moby Dick. He depends on
guidance and help from Fedallah, a man who is
thought to be able to see the future. The captain is
strong willed. He wants to do something even though
others advise him against it. He doesn’t allow anything
to distract him. When the situation becomes
dangerous, he still doesn’t back down. Captain Ahab’s
determination is impressive. His determination shows
us that we must try our hardest to achieve our goals.
A girl was walking home one day. It was a lovely
summer’s day, with a warm breeze in the air. The girl
had been to town to buy a new book about a magical
forest. She loved to read about magic and adventure.

All of sudden, the flowers and trees around her began

to move. They started to sing and dance, pulling her
along to join in. The birds from the trees started to fly
about whilst singing along with the flowers.

Suddenly, the girl woke up. She had fallen asleep in the
warm sun, reading her new book.
