1.1 Lubricating the axles

Lubricate the linear guides and ball thread


spindle of the axes regularly:

Proceed as follows

 Clean lubrication nipple


 Place grease gun on lubricating nipple
 Squeeze in the required amount
 Remove any grease that escapes

Note:
Clean all lubrication nipples thoroughly
before greasing. Dirt must not enter the
lubricating nipple openings.

Caution:
Dry end seals and/or dry bearing surfaces
on the guide are indicative of insufficient
lubrication. It is imperative that the
components are lubricated, reduce
lubrication interval!

1.2 X axis

The 3 lubricating nipples for the X axis linear


guide and recirculating ball screw are
located on the clamp.

Proceed as follows

 Clean lubrication nipple


 Attach a grease gun to one lubricating
nipple at a time
 Using the grease gun, squeeze in 3

pumps of grease per lubricating nipple 1.1 1.2
 Remove any grease that escapes

To reach lubricating nipples 1.1:
 Move the clamp to the right-hand park
position
 Open flap 1.2.

The 5 lubricating nipples 2.1 for the Y axis


linear guide and recirculating ball screw are
located above the Y-carriage.

Proceed as follows

 Clean lubrication nipple


 Attach a grease gun to one lubricating
nipple at a time
 Using the grease gun, squeeze in 2
pumps of grease per lubricating nipple

Proceed as follows

 Clean lubrication nipple


 Attach a grease gun to one lubricating
nipple at a time
